AMAZING!! I play this track EVERY DAY, it's my 'feelgood' song. Wish I could see them 'live', any suggestions PLEASE, anytime, anywhere, even Palma De Mallorca!! (I used to live there!).
great talent but the cd's are filled with fillers and music that does nothing but pierce the eardrums. maybe a little more attention to the cd completion and not just unloading garbage is the answer to achieving rightful recognition. two talented people on the wrong road.
McAlmont & Butler's 'Bring It Back' album is their best album effort compared to the previous album
I know, it's hard to blend with the powerful strings in the album but hey, the album is at its best when tipping its hat to the heady sounds of The Temptations!
'Falling' and 'The Theme from McAlmont & Butler' is the closest thing you can hear that captures the spirit of Motown's golden age
and they're not on the wrong road, they're exactly where they wanted to be
They will allways be legendary (underground as that is what bb wanted?)As he was still trying to get away from the SUEDE rift???Buttler And Anderson will one day unite again and can you imaging what thay could do now ??AND MCALMONTs voice will be around in our heads forever
i hurried and bought the album because this was one of the best songs i had heard in many years.......well, the album let me down...two other songs were half as good and the rest were fillers...just maybe it would hit if time and effort was put in all the songs like the one presented.......just my thoughts, but who am i, im just the one who thinks about buying them.
quite the norm emb1st ... i only ever liked about 2 or possible 3 of these tunes .... i do think the yes song sounds a bit familar to this falling one .... but still like it ... shame about other stuff they did ... they are far more capable than just fillers
anyone on here have the song "speed" not the live version as in the song they could perhaps send me privately, been looking everywhere, the only place that seems to have it is the american itunes :(

It is kind of upsetting that you can only be famous or well known as an artist or group if you are in the genre of the current trend, but the media follows trends because America follows trends. I believe however that if the media were to shed light on current artists or groups with old styles and great music those groups and artists would become well known and famous. - KickFacer Media
Well, I own this and Bernard's solo albums, plus some Suede. Off to pick up Duffy as well. Gosh, I love good singers! Only reason I waited on Duffy is because I live in Japan, and the J-release often has some treats--videos on the Duffy release. It's finally coming out here. I only wish Bernard and David would do more together. This song is magic!
Bernard Butler may go on to become a very great producer I'm always amazed the difference in suedes sound before and after him its no cooincidence their songs became more about fashion and electricity and posing than soulfull recountings of their inner lives.
this song gives me the same chills that any Phil Spector recording from the Sixties does. Bernard Butler wrapped David McAlmont's voice in a perfect Wall of Sound.
Ummm, no. They fell out after the first album, and this song is from their second album which was after they made up. They are still friends, and David collaborated on a couple of Duffy tracks thanks to Bernard.
andreajaney: thanks for putting that right, i was mistaken. i was under the impression that they had an 'ego-clash' of some sort, and then bernard produced the libertines stuff. its still a belter of a tune though eh??
Ace,i think Bernard Butlers got "Duffy" into this mode on her single (soon to be released) called "Distant Dreamer" though this David + Bernard track is more uptempo.
I remember watching this on the chumfm top 30. I'm surprised it didn't get farther up in the charts. It's a powerful song
