  • i LOVE tabatha. i want her to do my hair so bad. but i dont think it will ever happen. :(

  • How much are her cuts? They cost more in the hollywood salon that she goes to but they should still be kinda expensive in her's right? One time I went to a Tigi and the haircut sucked and my sis paid like 70 bucks. Just goes to show that even if you go to a PROfessional salon, the cuts can still be bad. So I started going to a small cheap salon. My hair was pretty long and I had no bangs. I got a cut with layers and bangs for 20 bucks. And my sis got a trim for like 11-15.

  • @SpoofedTV she has more than one salon though

  • hey i just uploaded a vid of when i met Tabatha check it out

  • Apparently the salon she works at in West Hollywood is really big. I love her!

  • wow i was really suprised and how quaint and simple her salon was. i was expecting a huge, fancy salon with like 50 staff and clients everywhere! She's obviously very down to earth and true to herself and doesnt feel the need to fit the celebrity criteria of "bigger is better". good for her, i love Tabatha :)

  • i imagined her salon would be very big and modern, but it makes sense that if you want to know all your clients and give them a personal feeling, that you have to keep it small.

  • I would give my right pinkie to get a haircut from Tabatha. I have been growing my lightly curly hair out for many months now, wanting a new style, but scared to go anywhere because I can just imagine all the terrible cuts I have had in the past and watching all my growth hit the floor and wind up with a lousy cut or a fine cut but one that doesn't suit me and my face. I am a single mother who would save up the $ in a heartbeat to sit in her chair. What a fab, talented woman!

  • hi tabatha my salon is small too i love it

  • she is amazing..and the people who listen to her advice gain... and those who dont, really dont appreciate her dedication to educating those in the hair business! I wish i could fly to America to have Tabitha cut and style my hair!!!!

  • it makes sense that her hair salon is small, intimate and well controlled. she is an expert and apparently one of the best in her industry. a true master at their craft does not need a lot to operate. i bet she could still be a grandmaster even if she cut hair in her kitchen at home. brilliant.

  • Tabatha is a go getter and has truely achieved. She helps a lot of dummies who would have been unemployed and broke if not for Tabathas help. She is certainly someone to respect and admire.

  • I'm glad her salon is small and cozy. I'm always intimidated by "high end" salons where the stylists treat you as if there doing you a favor by cutting your hair because as we should all know, they have something better to do with their time.

  • I have a hairy butthole, do you know if Tabathas salon does anal waxing?

  • This is exactly the opposite of what I expected. I thought she would have some palatial, impersonal salon. I LOVE that she's happy with a small salon. Just makes me more of a fan!

  • i was expecting a high tech facility of glass and concrete, with robots serving drinks, but regardless, this salon is still very "Tabatha" and really charming.

  • Gotta love her!!!!! Im thinkin' bout goin there wen I get older!!! I wonder if she do African Americans hair? Love you Tabatha!!!!!

  • i wish they had a solon like this in my home town!

  • Didn't realize she was so close to my home town in Hawthorne. And yes, I am surprised by the plainess of the salon and with the color being mixed in the laundry room :(

I love the take over show. Being a hair designer and educator myself, I am looking forward to payng a visit to this salon on my next trip home.

  • I love and respect Tabitha so much. Tabitha you're my shero

  • I love her personality. It's stern, but warm.

It's nice that despite her show on bravo and what not, she's not flashy and likes personal relationships with costumers that only a small, quaint, but welcoming salon can offer. No one can really complain about the salon setup; it's professional and personal.

  • you people know NOTHING about RIDGEWOOD, NJ..

Property taxes cost TWICE as much as NY or CA, and it's one of the most affluent towns in the country.. so of course her NJ salon will be smaller than her other ones.

Monied Ridgewoodites generally shy away from FLASH and nonsense like the Realhousewive Idiots of NJ.. Multi-Millionaires drive Camries and Fords.

When you see people eating out at Ridgewood in their new Range Rover they are probably from Franklin Lakes or Paterson with no equity.

  • she's sooo great!!! i wish i was like her!! :)

  • she's sooo great!!! i wish i was like her!!

  • Tabatha Coffey's salon in NJ- before getting her own show on Bravo. Really surprising, considering that her Bio says she is an NYC salon owner, and also works in LA part time behind the chair.

  • I love her,she can be a bitch,but she's real.She can also be very sweet,i think she's great!

  • OMG i never knew that her salon is in jersey :DD maybe i can go to her salon and get a haircut from there. i thought she would get a big fancy salon, too!! it's very cute yet professional =D

  • This was COOOOOOL I love her! I'm Tabatha and I'm taking ovah!

  • LOVE TABATHA!!! i just love how she is honest on her show and her salon looks great:-)

  • tabatha rocks

  • she seems so nice here compared to her show

  • What do you mean? Because she tells the truth? Because she has high standards? Because she sees through liars and leeches? Her work speaks for itself. Go try and create something yourself.

  • Tabatha is the best...Her show reminds me of "Split Ends" on The "Style" Network. Great stylist as well.

  • Mad respect for Tabatha.

  • *paint

Instead of white walls.. why not a COLOR?

  • The salon looks clean and nice and I don't care that it's small.. it's still probably great but would it kill her to pain the walls and liven up the place? It's all white and drab except for the little bit of red. She needs to do some design - paint, colors, pictures, etc.. something.. it's just so washed out and ugly.

  • I love Tabatha!

I never heard her give that advice before to owners though... having the owner operate the chair in the middle so that they can be in the middle of everything.

    That seems like a no-brainer.

  • New Jersey Rocks!!! I had to salons there..Now I am in Miami baby!

  • Quality over quantity, best description of of her salon. I think it's designed just fabulous, and like she said she likes it small so she can keep track of everything.

  • My husband loves Tabatha, and even we have no ties to the industry whatsoever, we have learned a lot.

  • It looks very clean and well taken care of. It just doesn't look like like what I expected. But it is in NJ. I guess that's as good as it gets there.

  • LOL!!!

  • @NiqueyBlog For those that don't know: this particular area of NJ (just outside of the city) is one of the most affluent in the country. Lots of wealthy housewives who love to be pampered..hence Tabatha's choice of venue.

  • Like I said, I guess that's as good as it gets.

  • I go there!

  • i want to meet her. She my inspiration. Im not even kidding. Shes the reason i have passion for hair.

  • There's nothing wrong with her salon at all. It's small and clean. Just because her salon doesn't look like the ones on t.v. that are made over, doesn't mean there's anything wrong with it. She obviously likes a small, simple, quaint salon. Nothing wrong with that!

  • yeaha, besides, its Bravo that takes care of the expensive for salon makeovers they dont pay her to do her salon, she just gets paid to do the show

  • True. I think she's so cool anyway! She tells it like it is...Aussie women are somewhat like that anyway! :)

  • @Tigerbos i totally agree with you.

  • She's an intelligent lady. She's not just a superb stylist but also a business guru. If you noticed, or do not know, the big fancy/upscale salons worry a lot about their rent & utilities. It's bank robbery to have a very very nice place & if you can't bring in customers & keep 'em, you're out of busienss.. Inside her salon is simple, clean & efficient. I'm positively sure that her stylist are ultimately talented. More money in the stylists' & her pocket.

  • The salon looks much better than most places so i dont know what some of you people are talking about. I wish some of the hairdressers in these "upscale salons" knew half as much as Tabatha's Stylists do.

  • TRUE!

  • haha, yea i was thinking the same thing, not gonna lie.

  • ever notice that many places that look fancy-smancy dont provide the svc & skills that live up to the decor? - that includes salons, restaurants, hotels, retail stores, etc.

i would rather pay for quality, skill, & svc than to help pay off the interior decorating expenses.

her salon is clean & efficient. her staff look busy & professional, unlike the nightmare staffs seen on her bravo show.

fancy decor doesnt mean 'better'- sometimes it just covers up for lack of substance & quality.

  • yeah i agree 100% i perfer to go to a salon not for looks and fancy decor but for skill.

  • I admire Tabatha, I respect her work....I have seen her tv shows but, I can't believe this is her salon...I thought her salon where going to look way better than that...

  • I perrsonally prefer smaller salons. Besides, it's easier for her to know all of their clients and keep an eye on everyone in a small salon. Sometimes less is more...I think it looks really quant and relaxing.

  • I expected something far different than this. It's a nice, straight up, professional looking place. Still, the salons she "takes over" get better makeovers than her simple salon.

I never imagined her being in New Jersey!

I assumed she lived in Australia or NYC..

  • she is from Austraila her mother was a professional styist .

  • i am a total Tabatha fan!! LOVE HER !!

  • It seems everyone is quick to make comments and judgements based on her personal locale. She does the show on Bravo and provides a make-over for other Salons because they are all missing something, hers is simple, ALWAYS clean, and what matters most is that the service is outstanding. You want pretty decorated, upscale, etc., but then you can expect the prices to go up.

  • Wow its shocking but wow i love how simple it is, its just amazing and who knows, maybe her salon is now updated since its 2009 and coming to a 2010

  • thank you for this!!! it's nice to see the other side of the coin by surprise!!! for some reason i thought her salon would be WAY more upscale and european looking (big city style) like an amazing spa. I was surprised to see it be so humble. still very cool. cheers.

  • Like she said -- she wanted small and simple and that is what she did and it looks nice to me. I like Tabatha and the show because all she is doing is telling them the right thing and those guys don't get it

  • i think she said she likes small and simple cause she has to be happy with what she has b/c she can't do any better right now. Thats just something some people say

  • I don't know about that -- If she wanted bigger, she would have easily moved on to New York or someplace way bigger than Ridgewood because of the show and all the stuff she does for companies a long time ago. So I think she just likes it small and simple, because it is not about the size of a place, it matters about the quality of work and if people are paying big dollars for her to work on them, then she is doing something right

  • Her salon is very plain, not what I expected at all...but she rocks!!!

  • she is the H.B.I.C.

  • dude, its true, I was totally shocked! I feel sorry for her - you would think that after she did all those other peoples salons they would fix hers up for her? What happened? The salon should say Tabatha's or something and it should be big and grand and busy. With gorgeous people siping red wine out of giant goblets or white wine out of those skinny goblets or something. I feel bad for her i wonder if she feels sad about it too

  • Lmao me too. It is a clean salon though. The only thing I wish she fixed was the store front. Making the sign more snazzy

  • hmmm i think your spelling of tacky is wrong..sorry but you were way on about everything else

    cheers!

  • her salon, especially the outside, doesn't look half as descent as the places she goes after she fixes them up, particularly the wash room, she would have had a cow on the show

  • Wow, her salon is . . . fabulous.

  • I just love Tabatha and her show :)

  • i love tabatha sooooooo much

  • shes really "interesting"looking

  • is 'interesting' a polite way of saying 'hideous?'

  • no just interesting.....she knows her stuff mind you i watched her the other day and shes intense!

  • When is she coming back on tv for her show Tabatha's Salon Takeover?!!

I so enjoyed it and dont' know IF it is coming back again or NOT and if so, WHEN? Does anyone know anything??

    5/4/09

  • how many seasons were out of the show?

  • this fall.

  • Yeah, she is. There's gonna be a season 2 on the Bravo channel starting on Novemeber 3rd! (Google it maybe for more details..) I'm a trainee hairdresser and I can't wait!!

  • awesome thank you kindly!
