I first listened to her while in Mexico on an MTV commercial (yes, they have MTV there). When I got back, I eventually looked her up, and not once did I think her voice to be weird. Maybe I'm tone-deaf, but it really sucks having to see so many people criticize the music that you love. I just don't get it. Joanna is a very good and unique artist. This clip doesn't do her justice. The audio is awful. Her voice is pure and subtle and has to be heard clearly. If you have a music clip and the audio is bad DON'T post it. Its a disservice to the artist.

Both of them tap into vocal expressions that are unattainable by normal registers.
