@IbanezHunter Hey, thanks. I ain't got a MIDI file for that tune, but I'm sure you can figure out most of it by just watching and listening carefully. Otherwise, you may be able to get sheet music from Andy's website. Usually, the tabs he sells come with sheets. ;)
I hope its not too much to ask, but would it be possible for you to create a video tutorial? or maybe just write down the chords and notes for each hand. If so then it would be greatly appreciated and Im sure it would get a lot of views.
@Ethanwazere Hey, why not? I haven't played the tune in 2 years I think, so I'll have to practice again to sort a few things out, but I'll keep your request in mind. You can check out the Rylynn tutorial, and I plan on doing one for Dreamcatcher. No promises though. ;)
@TheRationalRant ah! ah! You've got a point. It's simply a shame mine is a digital one :( If my old piano at my parents' wasn't completely out of tune, I'd have given it a try and made another version, maybe...
@TheSuperdude247 Maybe without the tapping but some other kind of beat? i think it needs that little beat to it, but i think its just the sound that makes it off... maybe it it sounded a bit softer and not as sharp?
@TheSuperdude247 I believe so as well, but without it, it feels like there's something missing, and I haven't figured a way to replace the tapping yet. But I'll sure work on it one day cos' I'm definitely not satisfied with this version.
you did a really incredible job of covering Drifting on piano... it is very interesting... andy's original is amazing but I think this version gives it a much more emotional feel.. really spot on awesome job man!
wow!! great job, i couldn't really imagine it on a piano, but a good piece is a good piece, and it sounds great on any instrument, great way to incorporate the percussion as well :)
who the heck would put thumbs down on this? This was brilliant, great work! Check my turbo mode version DRIFTING TURBO under JPMOHAVE videos. I tried attaching mine, does Andy need to approve the attachment?
Your interpretation of Andy's music is breath taking. And your talent is actually amazing. It's really nice to see a guy who is playing for nothing besides the love of and appreciation of true music, not for money or fame or any other shenanigans. like so many "musicians" nowadays, and this is coming from a 16 year old girl. So, keep doing what you're doing. It's incredible.
@AJpianoUK Well, believe it or not, I never realized that! I guess I must have been playing along some other tune before I recorded that and forgot about it. Sometimes, when the tuning of a guitar is weird, things can get hard to play along on the piano so I transpose my keyboard to make it easier. I often do that with Don Ross's songs. That's amazing! Thanks for telling me :)) ah! ah!
it was really good to hear the song on the piano. I'm a big fan of Andy and became one of your's. You have a lot of talent! I think you captured the song in a different way the piano can! Glad I ran into this video!
acoustic is the hardest guitar to learn....electric is fun but holds on to speed and shreds for mastery.........Btw, andy's style doesn't need drums specially on this song...he makes his guitar sing
dont do the drumming with the keyboard. it'll spound better. the keyboard sounds classier, but the guitar sounds more b a. i'll agree though that it seems the song is more catered to the keyboard
But everything was just perfect. Sound was great, ect. I may seriously have to take up a new instrument. Seems like no one plays the drums anymore. Lol.
I still love to play, don't get me wrong. But it seems like more attention goes to the person playing the piano and guitar, rather than the drummer. I feel so....Left out. Lol.
@GarretsShadow True ! Most guys just pretend they can play just to show off, but very few actually play for the sake of music... Dudes like Andy are an endangered species =D

You amaze me, Fred! I Wish I could play like you.. This is the second video I watch and this the second video I like from your channel.. It seems to me that it's not ME! =P

For all my other videos, I recorded through my PC, but here, because of the tapping, I had to use the cam's mic which is awful. I'll have to do properly one day, on a real piano, and with a static mic if I can.
well you said the slapping was dominant. But you have to look at it like this, the acoustic version had the exact same slapping. saying that would be like saying the original had to much slapping, but its the original, and he did it the way he wanted it to be. It's like telling someone how to make there own piece.
well no what I meant was that maybe it's the material of the piano or the quality of the camera, but the slapping just sounds a little loud. I've seen the original and can play the intro, so I know how it goes. Maybe it's just the quality of the camera
keep it up dude! You have got some serious talent

I guess my camera should be held responsible for the extremely poor sound quality. Couldn't do better at the time.
