Came after here watching Moneyball, and although I don't know anything about baseball, I think this historical event is really cool. Good luck for the future! Greetings from Sweden.
i didnt even know they won 20 cosecutive games until i saw money ball infact i saw it and i was like that did not happen did it? so i had to look it up on youtube and wat do u know! 20 consecutive games! way to go! no wonder billy bean is still the manager today! ps thats cool they ho;d that record but just throwing it out there im a yankees fan! go yanks!
@chargers705 - funny you mention that - I was in the upper most deck in far right field, and had the camera zoomed all the way in. The quality on the actual mini-DV tape is much much better, but I had to condense it to get it onto YouTube.
@piedrasyluz well when you're going for the record... but that was a shot, considering how deep that area of the outfield is and hatte hit it all the way up to the seats
@whitenect - The tape is actually about a half hour long, but I edited for quality's sake. The ensuing celebration in the stadium is crazy...maybe I'll post it later.
I know steven soderbergh wanted a docu super accurate film version of moneyball but anybody can go online for total accuracy. The hollywood formula to make moneyball accessible to people outside of baseball was right on the money. This video is now at 12k viewers I think it'll get to 120k by Feb. Credit should go to the Sony execs who did a moneyball move of their own when they traded directors and writers 5 days before shooting. Talk about inspired. Merry Christmas!
wow man i watched the movie 10 min ago, while watching it i didnt realised it was actually that much of a true story. Awesome moment in baseball. anyone knows if the record of 20 consec has been broken alrdy?
I was there not far from where the ball was hit...i will never forget that night
