I agree about Lifetime. I actually use to like that channel back in the 90's. A lot of the movies that aired seemed to be more realistic, the protagonists ranged from male or female and the film plots were much better. The problem with cable is that you are paying for commercials. The point of cable was supposed to be pay tv so that you didn't have to have commercials. I've been watching Space 1999, Blake's 7, Christy etc. and it's like what's up with the shows today.
I like a good arc in shows, but tv now is over doing it. Shows like B7, B5, Space 1999 new how to handle an arc without getting you fed up with the show. I'm at the point where I want stand alone episodic series. I don't mind if they use the reset like Star Trek just give me character development.
