  • Here's how to drastically improve your ego-c & never get dry hit or have to prime puff between draws. The wick sit level to the lower edge of the spike on the atty's. Take a small eyeglass's screwdriver the same size as the spike & push your wick in half way. Don't worry it can all be undone with ease if needed. I do this right off the bat w/all my ego-c atty's & can puff it like a pipe if I want w/no dry hits. Enjoy!

  • @bsyarborough Great tip. This one worked pretty well out of the box for me (which is what I like). If your tip makes it even better... WIN! BUT - IMHO the wick height should already be adjusted to maximize the vaping experience.

  • I just got a kit. Almost got an Ovale kit but I got a better deal on one labeled Joyetech due to a discount code.

  • 3 day and i am very pleasant with the device ,one question @Noodles672, occasionally i have leaks, how can i prevent them?,the only thing that bothers me is few leaks sometimes,

  • Got the wife's ego-c today. First thing to note none of the tanks have a removable cap that I can see. had to drip thru the hole in the tank (and the hole is pre-punched). Used 100% VG and I dont think I draw any harder than you phil...but I kept getting burned wick taste. Tried to attys and same result. This was after letting the tank (and ensuring I had the tank all the way down) sit on the atty for over an hour. Any ideas bud?

  • Hi, thanks for the video. Just one question. Can you use the standard Ego-T battery with the Ego-C Atomizer?

  • @Nastrado Although I haven't tried, my guess is yes. It's just another 510 connection.

  • @Nastrado I've been looking into this as I'm thinking of getting one myself, As far as i can tell the atomiser is fully compatible with the eGo/eGo-T and Riva batteries and uses the same cone tank cartridges as the original eGo-T.

  • @Nastrado yes you can,

  • I just got this product yesterday....First one that i have had but....! How does one stop or cut back on the leaking? Thanks

  • @Noodles672 Uh oh. You have leaking? I didn't experience any with mine so it's hard to say. Perhaps a post on a forum or Facebook group too see if others are having similar issues.

  • @Noodles672 Did you roll to o-ring when you put the atomizer in the base? I assembled both of mine and they don't leak a bit.

  • @Kamasutra6901 No i did not roll the o ring. The only o ring i have seen is a very small one at the bottom of the atomizer.

  • @Noodles672 That's the one I was thinking of. It seems to me that it is what makes the Ego-C better that the Ego-T as far as not leaking. If it were rolled out of the base then it wouldn't be able to keep the juice from leaking out the bottom Have you tried another atomizer to see if you just happen to have a bad one loaded?

  • @Kamasutra6901 I put a new one in tonight and it leaked pretty good one time. We are going to look into the E-go Mega because this this leaking problem is close to making it worthless.

  • @Noodles672 *"roll the" not roll to

  • @Noodles672 Maybe you forgot to press the tank in all the way, I did once or twice when i was in a hurry, Also don't pop the fill cap off from the hole, snap off from the side or syringe. other than that I never had any leaking yet.

On a side note, I still like this tank better than most 3ml tanks, the draw is much easier and the addy's out last (x3 ) any I've tested so far with with larger 3mil tanks...thus easy maintenance for me...

  • So will you be able to clean the atty out (and tank) and use a diff. juice? I assume the wick with the atty may mix flavors a bit, but once you burn through the juice in the wick I imagine you would be good (with the exception of some strong juices). My wife just bought one of these (she didnt want a VV) thanks to your review. Anothe pbusardo fan :) She emailed me at work today with "Can I tase Yo Juice" in the subject line...lol

  • @faamecanic1970 Yes. And you're right, you'll have a little bit of flavor creep but it doesn't last long. Nice!! Sounds like you may get lucky tonight :-)

  • Sorry for the dumb question but...on the ego C do u have to press the button when smoking?

  • @Shipdacheese No question is dumb. Yes you need to use the button when VAPING!! We don't "smoke" here :-)

  • @pbusardo Right srry. Vaping it is! :)

  • Me and my father bought this yesterday and we took one eGo-C each! Tastes great and FINALY we can smoke indoors without my ma fightin with us everytime! I only have one consern. How healthy is it really? I mean, it does have nicotine right? Is nicotine harmles if you avoid all the other chemicals that cause cancer, that normal cigarettes have?? Please answer!

  • @FrostSalonica I've heard it's not necessarily harmless, but the risk is so low, it's as bad as drinking coffee. It is addicting though, so if I were you, I'd try to work down to a low nicotine level.

  • @FrostSalonica I would love to give you a definitive answer, but the truth be told, there is none... yet. Everything I've read has lead me to an educated decision to vape. The nic is there and can be compared to caffeine. Not exactly good for you or your heart, but you can get down to a low or no nic if you wish. Can't do that with analogs. There is a LOT of information out there that you can research to put your mind a little more at ease. Start at vapingguides.

  • Great review, many thanks! :D

  • @dancer14280 Thank you!

  • this is amazing review and product, thanks

  • @ShroomifyTheShroom Thanks very much!

  • Phil, just got the new Low resistance attys for the Ego c. Wow, good vapor and throat hit. Both are better with the LR and more vapor. Anyone ordering these should get the cone and LR attys instead of the kit if they already have batteries.

  • @vtox101 Good to know on the LRs! Thanks for the post!

  • I would like to start using 100% VG and I've heard that the Ego-T has had issues with the atty gunking up with the thicker juices, thus, shortening the life of the atty. Do you think that the Ego-C can handle the VG better?

  • @lilmarie081 In my experience this is far better than a T in handling 100%VG. No where near as good as direct dripping or a carto, but better than a T.

  • Ok, I got mine and my first impressions is this is pretty much exactly like the first tanks.

A little more flavor but you still get dry hits etc. I like the concept and they are convenient for taking out but they still have similarly inherent wicking problems. At least the replacement atomizers will be cheaper. But for those that didn't like the first tank, you won't like these either.

  • Nice video... but I think I am better off with my ego t type B with a low res atty 1.7 ohm that I buy for 10 bucks a piece ( more vape then what I just saw and TH)... My attys last up to 2 months... I do clean them easily with hot water... The type B holds more liquid too... Think I will pass on this one..

  • @attractivefrenchguy Question, where did you get your type B from? I'd be curious to compare side by side.

  • @pbusardo You can get the type B "LOW RES 1.8 ohm" atty and tanks from cignot.com. They also have type A low res. They do not have the new variable joy batteries I just learned about yesterday. They will dial up to 4.2 volts with LED display. But cignot has the best price on the atty's and Awesome folks there

  • Correction: The variable voltage Joy Ego Batteries with LED display

  • Why didn't they make the cone the mega size I wonder? Just a matter of making the cone slightly larger at the top.

  • I'd agree with thumbs up for the starter kit but its definitely a thumbs down for replacement parts, 30 dollars for a five pack of atty replacement, plus tanks, plus 20 dollar ego 650mah batteries, that's highway robbery. There are other kits just as good on the market that have way cheaper replacement parts.

  • @1dnk1 6$ an atty is cheap. The tanks are squat to replace. You can use whatever eGo battery you like as a replacement. $70 for two of the most recent Joye batteries, 5 atties, 20ml of juice, a charger, 5 tanks, spare parts for the tanks, a spare cone/base for the atties, and real instructions; seems like a bargain. The original (A) tank atty's cost what, $9-$15 each, even now? And they are crap, imo, in comparison. Then again I use $20+ (HH357) atty's on my Reo, so what do I know.

  • @pbusardo I figured it out. One's for sanitary purposes, one helps for a better seal. Did you use the rubber tank cap during the tests, or the plastic one?

  • @bladebarrier I used the standard plastic caps.

From the vendor: "Some customer like the soft caps (silicone caps) because they believe it prevents leaking more that the hard cap. We think the hard cap work better in most cases but we provide it as another option. There is a possibility you would get more burning taste with the soft caps because it changes the air flow patterns around the tank. The soft tips are also another option for customers who are looking for something softer.

  • @pbusardo Thanks for the response. I went ahead and ordered one. I always liked the concept of the ego tank, just not the performance, or the price of replacing the atty's (which seemed to crap out faster than a normal atty). I don't mind cartos, but I did get tired of filling them and topping them off, so when I don't feel like carrying a large bottom feeder, this should fill the gap nicely!

  • @bladebarrier That's terrific Blade. I hope you enjoy it!

  • @pbusardo Just received it. I'm extremely impressed so far. It looks like they've finally got this right. No leaks. Small. Easy to fill. On/off/low-power button. No dry hits. Smooth and quiet. Great flavor. Simple, yet surprisingly good, and I can put it on my ego 1100 batteries if needed. Touch of a plastic taste from the mouth piece, but I expect that will improve. They should have included business cards. I would hand them out left and right, to the people that ask me where to start.

  • Great review as always.

Quick question though. At 1:55 you flash onto the screen that there are rubber caps for the mouth pieces, and rubber caps for the tank. What exactly are you referring to? I haven't been keeping up with the eGo tanks lately, so I can't picture what they might be.

  • did the juice come to your lips at any point on a runnier PG based mix.

That was a problem i had with the eGO-T version. And i think they used the same Type B Tanks As what you have on the Type C Unit

  • @XxDollarBill Nope, had no experience with that.

  • Two questions. Any leaking? and does the set up fit other batteries? Great review and thanks.

  • @Bellabear88 I annotated the video with leaking information. I didn't experience any leaking so I didn't mention it. I probably should have. It's just been so long since I've had ANYTHING I use leak, I didn't even think about it.

As far as other batteries, SURE! Any eGo type battery should work fine. I even used my KGO battery without issue.

    THANKS!!

  • Another masterful review! You are the person all reviewers should aspire to review like!

  • @BingHammy WOW! Thanks Bing!!

  • Good review Phill.Thank You.I was thinking about this myself, but changed my mind because of the 650 mah batteries and the price of new atty heads.Do not know how long they last.

  • @knightone57 If the atty heads are an improvement on the ego-t stuff, then "long" would be the word I'd use. I still have an ego-t 'a' low rez atty chugging along after 8 weeks. 30 bucks for that 5pack is not a ripoff in my book if they are the same (and they LOOK the same) as the ego-t versions.

  • @caseyjp1 I said nothing about a ripoff.I just meant that at $30 they would have to last a good amount of time.I may try them on the ego;s I have now once they have been out for awhile.

  • @knightone57 Dude, I didn't imply that you did. I just voiced my opinion on whether they would be or wouldn't be a "ripoff".

  • @caseyjp1 Yes you did.

  • @caseyjp1 Don't make me separate you two :-)

  • @pbusardo Notice me calmly walking away from the "kumite" invitation? :-D

  • @caseyjp1 I agree with ya. I actually read this after I commented on the last post. With attys around 5 or 6 bucks, $30 for 5 is not way off. Good to know that the eGo-T attys last a long time. Thanks!

  • @knightone57 I agree the prices are a little steep. However, figure attys are somewhere around 5 or 6 bucks, so you're looking at $25 for 5 attys, $30 for a pack of 5 of these. So it's not way off. But I also agree with you that we don't know how long they will last.

  • Oh yeah, and this gear is also primo for taxi drivers. -heh heh

  • good review

  • @usagold101 Thank you!

  • Its a joye atty. Standard resistance STILL has the slight flavor reduction (not at all surprised)...which is why I'll be waiting for the LR versions that, like the ego-t 'a/b' gear, have awesome VTF. I believe you forgot to mention that the new ego bats now have a power reduction feature which changes the lighted button from white (full power) to a cool blue for (25% left, iirc). nice review as always! I am REALLY happy to see it vaping 100% VG which in the "t" iteration has issues. :-)

  • @caseyjp1 Aha! That was something I read about, was going to mention but did not. Why? The button did NOT change color. So perhaps their version did not have that feature. The button remained white until it flashed, shut down, and needed to be charged.

  • @pbusardo Betting that's a difference between the Ovale and the stock Joye. Mr. Wicked's intro video over at Totally Wicket shows the joye (non ovale) batteries with this power indicator stuff working. Also, have you tried this gear on the buzz pro? I wonder if a slight voltage bump would get rid of the muting. (seeing how much better my ego-t LR's perform on the kgo vs. stock ego bats anyway.)

  • @caseyjp1 I sent a message to Ovale to find out about the color changing button. I didn't put the atty on the Buzz (I was too lazy to find my 510 to 510 connector :-) But I did put it on the KGO batt. Yes, a little more TH kick, but still not what you'd get from a Boge or similar carto.

  • @pbusardo It just strikes me odd that after all this time the standard atty on this stuff is still muted in the flavor department. Looking at the construction, it nearly identical to direct dripping a wicked atomizer, and yet it still mutes the flavor. (Oh and do not take this as disagreement on the muting...tis why I ONLY use LR ego-t gear.) :-D -and just before hitting enter, I realize its GOT to have something to do with the resistance/construction of the atty coil.

  • @caseyjp1 My guess is that 1) even though it's close to 2ohms, it's still not burning as hot as a Boge coil and 2) there is still not enough juice getting to the coil through the spike. With this device, TH was a bigger concern for me than flavor.

  • BTW... Still looking for some more 808 options to pop out. Everything is 510 it seems, which is fine... But my SI unit uses-IMO- one of the best Cartomizers out there. I'd like to still be able to use them. :)

  • @barneyruckus1 Get yourself an Infinity Pro or Buzz Pro with an 808 connection :-)

  • I feel the same way. I'd really like to find a bigger battery mod just for kicks, but I'm so happy with my current S.I. unit that I can't get myself to buy one. It's just too simple to use.

    Once again, great vid, Phil!

  • @barneyruckus1 Thank you!!

  • If I where just starting out i would be put off by the fact that you had to fiddle with atty "Heads" and not just screwing something in and vaping. Cigarettes where simple take one out light one up and get a bit of cancer with each puff. To an analog user this would be like assembling a firearm. It's probably just me but i feel they are releasing variation after variation of the same product with minor diffrences

  • @dodgechargerrt30 Actually I think they ARE doing the minor difference thing....just as car manufacturers make small changes/improvements to car models every year. In the JOYE promo video for the ego-c they call this version the "last improvement in ego series", which implies that this 'series' is as good as they can get it and next year will see a new product release.
