@phambo101 he personally didn't do it, although he probably had a lot to do with it behind the scenes. His wife Magda along with the help of a Nazi who i believe was some type of doctor, put the children to sleep and then poisoned them with cyanide. After that, Joseph and Magda killed themselves outside of the bunker in the gardens. Helga, the oldest, was the only one of the children that resisted. This girl, Hedwig, was the first to be killed. Truely tragic that this happened.

Poor girl, it's a pity that her and her siblings had monsters for parents. Yet perhaps Magda and Josef did them a small favour in killing them, at least they wouldn't have to live with the shame of what they're parents did. But the children should never have to pay for the sins of the parents. They too were the victims of the Nazi regime.

Hanna Reitsch told in Bunker she wanted to fly the children from Berlin ( 'For heaven's saken Mrs. Goebbels, the children cannot stay here'), Speer wanted to take them with and more people. Even Goebbels wanted to sent them away, it was Magda's decision to pull them from home into the bunker and not to allow that they are again brought away from Berlin.

BTW: It is not a ladybird in the children's song, it's a junebug.:)

There's absolutely no certainty or even likelihood that the Bolsheviks would have bayoneted them, MORON.. Much would depend on what group of soldiers or officers discovered them, or when and who they surrendered to. Also, they could at least have been given the chance of escape with some of the surviving adults in the bunker. Any parent worthy of the name would have wanted to at least give them a chance of life, but the Goebbels couldn't bear to let their kids live on in an Allies world..
