I am an atheist, but I agree with SOME of LeVey's teachings. Not suppressing your natural desires or being shamed into conformity, I agree with that. He lost me with magic, even as a dramatic psychology. I understand why you choose Satan as a symbol; like Prometheus he gave man the knowledge we needed to free ourselves from religious stupidity. But I have to say, it seems that it has become a new form of conformity. I'm a big fan of create-your-own religion. I think LeVey would've supported it.

This is silly and inaccurate . The only point made in this video that is true is that the Church of Satan memberships have slowed down . So has nearly every other Satanic organization . Generally we dont believe in hell, or satan for that matter. Satan is (in a nutshell) a representation of living a good life and smashing all those who oppose you. There is no secrafice, for sacrafice is selfish. We do not "steal children from their mothers" for children are innocent and are not to be harmed. And we do as we wish to obtain positive outcomes or indulge in mental, physical, or spiritual gratification.

Yes we can enjoy life. Heres another way to think about it. Believing in God and asking him to forgive you of your sins and have him come into your heart. That is your ticket into heaven after death. Well you say that theres no guarentee of an afterlife. Well what do christians have to lose then??? I would rather believe in heaven and god, so that I know that I will go to heaven, then not believeing in either one and having to hope totally on that theres no afterlife

besides, I really should learn to respect other peoples religious beliefs, especially when their beliefs bring happiness to them! It was silly of me to make jokes and disrespect your beliefs, especially since they don't hurt anyone, besides, (according to wicca at least) what ever you put out into the universe returns threefold, and your beliefs breed alot of love and happiness and doesn't try to rip people off or kill them!

Paganism is only popular now a days because people like you are a social outcasts and it makes you look fearsome, hence you think you can gain respect off people, but really people like you are just attention seekers that think they're really powerful and cool because they can think they cast spells and curses and think that people will respect and/or fear them more...
really though, at least you don't try and scam or kill people like the abrahamic religions do!!

No because they ARENT real characters. They are fictional. But characters in books is not a good comparison to a belief in Gods/Goddesses. There were God and Goddess worship even before the days of Jesus... like the Goddess Isis. They didnt believe in Harry Potter. No one does. BECAUSE WE KNOW THAT HARRY POTTER ISNT REAL! And religion is not all about making money and gaining power. Im the religion that I am because it makes me complete and at peace. I have no need or wish for money or power.

where as Catholics think that it's almost blasphemous NOT to have jesus on the cross as it's a symbol of Jesus's sacrifice for all our sins and it shows the pain and suffering that Jesus went through for all our sins!!
