I just turned 22 and found out that I had extremely high blood pressure this year ....188/96 ---Im so scared. They put me on some starter meds and they haven't had much of an effect. I'm not obese, I exercise and diet but I am black. I dont know how much does that matter but that's who we always hear it hits the hardest. I just want to live my life. For now i think im going to do a water diet. NO SOLID FOODS!
I am twenty three years old and I have high blood pressure. I've had this problem since I've been twenty. It's nothing to joke around about. There hasn't been an explanation as to why mine is sky high either. The only thing that they could suggest is that it was in my genes, apparently someone in my family at a young age has had high blood pressure. Mine usually runs 200/100. If I forget to take my meds, it's a down hill spiral from there.
I think its a great idea! For those who think this is a scam, u obviously don't know anyone with SEVERE chronic hypertension otherwise u wouldn't be saying that.
HBP runs on both sides of my family and medication does not help me. My average b.p. reading is 223/115. I'm looking forward to taking part in the research :)
@ZigZagWoman Hi, please ask your doctor about bystolic. it is a wonder drug for me. I tried diovan and many others. its the only one that hasent given me side affects. and the only one that works. its fantastic! 10mg has brought me down from 150/90 to 116/77. please try this drug. it just may save your life.
There are millions of people that have high pressure that can't be controlled by the med's they are taking and for them this device could help. I was not guinea pig. I researched this device & met with doctors independent of this study before going forward. If you haven't had high pressure that can't be controlled by med's or lifestyle changes like mine & that of others that I have talked to you don't know what we go through. I would encourage anyone that is in this situation to do the research
First of all through most of the 23 yrs I've been dealing with out of control blood pressure my weight was within the medical guidelines for my height & age. Also I do eat healthy. When it came to exercise I couldn't my doctors did a stress test on me and after only 2 1/2 min. my pressure went to 270/140 so if I did try and exercise I could of had a stroke or heart attack and died. Sorry but I was trying to avoid that. This device was able to do what medication was not. Con't on next post.
you're supposed to take in 700mg of sodium a day if you have HBP, right?

Right know 15-18 months. But with anything electronic I would say that the battery life will get better and better.
