@josemp0944 Lol, Mandarin and Cantonese are both the same language with the same words, and meanings, it's just that they sound different when spoken. Reason being was that China was very isolating 3000 years ago and different villages 30 miles away have completely different accents. Just so happens that the accent in Guan Dong is vastly different from the rest. Mandarin is the national standard accent as declared by the Communist government in the 1950s. Chinese hasn't changed in 1000 years.
