@pig8675 The judge can ask you questions about how you care for your rabbit such as what do you feed?, how much do you feed?, about common health concerns with rabbits like what do you do if your rabbit gets sore hocks?, or questions about the specific breed of rabbit you have like What color varieties are there for Rex rabbits?, What is the ideal weight of a Dutch rabbit? The judge will probably adjust how hard the questions are based on the level of showmanship you are in.
@thekansascowgirl Rex rabbits are more prone to sore hocks than many other breeds. You can use a zinc oxide ointment like for diaper rash to help treat the sore hocks the rabbit currently has. Make sure they have somewhere to get off the wires, trim toenails regularly, and watch for signs of sore hocks so you can treat it early.
@thekansascowgirl The rabbit used in this video does not have sore hocks. Rabbits can get it from standing on a grated cage surface for too long. The judge will see it in showmanship when you are lifting your rabbit to show the judge it's belly. You can prevent sore hocks from occurring if you provide a solid surface in a portion of your cage for the rabbit to stand on.
