This is the most musical version of the piece I've ever heard, and I've heard about 50+ versions. I'm not just saying that...I can tell you're really feeling the music and making it your own and not trying to copy anyone...this is a brilliant performance.
A weird thing as I listen. The universe and us are made up of largely space or 'nothing'. And it's the understanding of the spaces between the musical phrases that this performer grasps, that make it such an interesting and attractive performance.
yes, i agree with you about Chopen's waltzs' issue. they are really beautiful. i've listened them for 3 days now and i say i wish i listened them before. by the way your style was considerably good. congratulations!
Fantastic, moving, subtle and effortless...Brilliantly played, a true master in the wings...Congratulations on a happy and melodic rendition of a timeless classic!
I loved how you sped up during the broken chromatic scale. So many people keep it the same tempo, which (in my opinion) makes it boring. And its also kinda nice how you could make the song seem happy one moment and then kinda angry-ful the next! ^^
This interpretation is so lovely...intimate, delicate, simply beatiful. A lot of people play this piece very heavily. I don't like it played that way... You managed to keep a clear and delicate sound, without missing sounds or notes... That's absolutely not easy! Also because the piece itself is quite difficult to play, not as difficult as other pieces of Chopin, but still it's quite hard work.
Congratulations! To me, your interpretation is simply PERFECT.
I could fill pages listing the many and varied felicities of your wonderful playing - take no notice of people who seem to think they know how Chopin would have 'interpreted' his own work, but just keep doing what you are doing. By the way, I'd really love to hear you playing Etincelles on a decent piano!
That was a really excellent rendition of Chopin's Waltz in E Flat Major, Op. 18. It's a personal favorite; brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it. Your performance was wonderful. I've been playing keyboard instruments since I was 6, and would give my left 'orb of manhood' to be able to play that song so well, and with such feeling. Thank you!
Light, graceful, elegant, never harsh, excellent pacing, great waltz character, variety in color. Even though you chose a dryer pedaling approach to this piece, it worked well in your favor and gave a very nimble and graceful charm.
I rather liked your waltz. At times, it reminded me of Vlado Perlemuter's subdued and intimate recordings. Vlado is my favourite interpreter of Chopin.
where's the pedaling? ur missing a lot. doesn't sound good when u have staccato notes, and that was probably not chopin's interpretation. but no matter what, u did an excellent job. keep up the work.
Conley, speak about you, how many time do you play piano? Did you have a teacher to learn how to play piano? I´m very happy to know you like portuguese, it is the most beautiful language in the word, in spite of the portuguese is very dificult to speak correcty. Well, I love piano but here in brasil to lear piano you need to have a money or to have a good salary to pay the class of piano (but one day i will go to learn..)
thank you. Yes, I understand your english very well. Actually I want to learn portugese very soon. I would rank the most beautiful languages in the world 1. portugese, 2. japanese, and 3 french. But thank you for the complement. I'm going for a style that is not praised today. its good to see that other people can get the message I'm trying to send.

This is way too choppy sounding. Is it the playing or poor audio? Anyways, I'm movin' on...
