Thats why they call it Ragdolls. I have a 13 weeks old Ragdoll myself. I can do the same with mine. He wants to be in my arms, or at least very close to me day and night. He's always very relaxed, cuddly and playfull. I have posted a video 1 week ago off him playing. Very cute. I love Ragdolls.
if you ever get this cat and you choose to sterilize/castrate it, DON'T DO IT! i've had a ragdoll for 6 years now, after i'd sterilized her, she changed so much! shes not the cuddly ragdoll anymore :|
@nesovicmarko That is bad advice. You should ALWAYS spay/neuter any animal you get, no matter whether you think it won't ever see a male or female of its breed or even species.

I'm getting a cat shortly as I'll be moving into an apartment where I'm allowed to have animals, and therefore I've been researching a bit about different cat types, and these seem like the ideal cats.. Docile, medium maintenance on the fur, family friendly, friendly towards other animals, and I even love how they are supposed to medium chatty, follow you around and just laze about together with their owner :) Really nice video to show off all the nice traits!
Wow, such a huge cat!!! I had a ragdoll (pretty sure he was mixed), he was actually pretty small, but had the most beautiful cream and white long hair, pink and black nose, and baby blue eyes. Before we could neuter him he kept leaving the house and never came back. He acted kind of feral. Such a beautiful cat though. His name was Creampuff. :)

My ragdoll is broken :) She is non aggressive, doesn't bite and follows you like a dog but really hates to be picked up. Will beg to be petted and sit next to you sometimes but as soon as you pick her up like in the video she starts sad meowing and tries to wiggle out. I guess it's just her personality.

aw I had a female rag doll cat not long ago, she was sooo cute. She would fall alseep on her back with her paws in the air and I'd catch her doing the weirdest things, like looking in the toilet and hanging off the front door lol I miss her and am thinking about getting another...

This video is so sweet. You can tell he really loves you and trusts you the way he lets you pack him, pet him, flip him around etc. Not all cats will let a human handle them in such a way.

these cats look like Fat siamese cats and i was reading they are mixed with siamese and another breed cant remember the name tho nice cat but i think a cat shouldnt be all slow and dumb like that cats need to be hunters if that cat was to be left out doors it would die it would be so slow to even hunt birds or anything :)

He is gorgeous. I have a ragdoll. I have a 22 pound blue point bicolor. I cut my Ragdoll's hair down into a "puppy clip" for the summer. It really looks cute on him. Then by September the hair is all back super long again!
lots of long hair cat have hair between their toes. its good to clip them because the hair get under their toes and can cause a traction problem when their running and stopping..cause them to slide and such
I know a ragdoll cat who I see on my walks (I go cat-spotting around the village)! His name's Figaro. His fur is incredibly soft; a real treat to touch. I wish my hair was as soft as his fur! Your cat is such a beauty. Soppy thing isn't he, lying in your arms looking all relaxed and happy!

my ragdoll cat is the same, i got him at 18mths old and he hates to be stroked or held. the only time he shows me any sort of affection is when he wants feeding but sometimes he will bite my ankle lightly when hes hunrgry. its strange cuz the previous owner said he was a lap cat.

I wanna have one, but, I have questions! Cause I dont wanne make the poor cat suffers. I live in a two bedrooms appartment, and I live alone, so, the cat would be alone a couple of hours. Is that a problem or something? I really really want one! But I dont wanna bring a poor kitty to suffer or something u.u
I have a ragdoll now ... in my apartment and it is a one bedroom apartment. not too small. As long as you play with him/her and is home a reasonable amount it should not be a problem. It honestly depends on the temperament of the cat. My cat loves her space but she also loves a lot of cuddles and her time when I am at home. I work like 5 hours a day...so when I am gone I leave on the telly and some toys around for her. However in the future I would prefer her having a companion friend.
if I did any of this to my cat I would probably be injured

OMG He's beautiful. i can't wait to get my ragdoll!! She's not even born yet and i already love her. The mom is a show cat and won't be ready for breeding till March 2011. lol I've been planning on getting one for 5 years now and the time has finally come. Your baby is just ....purrrfect.

He is gorgeous. I have a ragdoll. I have a 22 pound blue point bicolor. I cut my Ragdoll's hair down into a "puppy clip" for the summer. It really looks cute on him. Then by September the hair is all back super long again!

lots of long hair cat have hair between their toes. its good to clip them because the hair get under their toes and can cause a traction problem when their running and stopping..cause them to slide and such

I know a ragdoll cat who I see on my walks (I go cat-spotting around the village)! His name's Figaro. His fur is incredibly soft; a real treat to touch. I wish my hair was as soft as his fur! Your cat is such a beauty. Soppy thing isn't he, lying in your arms looking all relaxed and happy!

there is just something i gotta say. everyone is like, omg ragdoll cats are the best cats in the world! i have one of those short hair domestics and my familly and i felt like we need a lap cat, a cat we can just hold, a cat that will always pure and follow us around. right WRONG! we got a ragdoll and she hates us! all she does is run away from us, and goes to my other cat!!!! i swear i take one step to her and she runs for her life

my ragdoll cat is the same, i got him at 18mths old and he hates to be stroked or held. the only time he shows me any sort of affection is when he wants feeding but sometimes he will bite my ankle lightly when hes hunrgry. its strange cuz the previous owner said he was a lap cat.

I wanna have one, but, I have questions! Cause I dont wanne make the poor cat suffers. I live in a two bedrooms appartment, and I live alone, so, the cat would be alone a couple of hours. Is that a problem or something? I really really want one! But I dont wanna bring a poor kitty to suffer or something u.u

I have a ragdoll now ... in my apartment and it is a one bedroom apartment. not too small. As long as you play with him/her and is home a reasonable amount it should not be a problem. It honestly depends on the temperament of the cat. My cat loves her space but she also loves a lot of cuddles and her time when I am at home. I work like 5 hours a day...so when I am gone I leave on the telly and some toys around for her. However in the future I would prefer her having a companion friend.
