  • Where are you at the travel stop? I saw little there. We came down from the McDonald Observatory and turned on the wrong road, so I was not expecting anything until 6 red blue lights starting traveling along with our car on my side.

Something like the lady talked about. It scared me to pieces. 3 lights were over the

lower three. and then they raced off in another direction. Wish I had my camera

    then.

  • In July 1989, scientists from McDonald Observatory on Mount Locke outside Fort Davis, and from Sul Ross University, decided to conduct another investigation into the lights. Included in the group were a professor of chemistry, Dr. Avinash Rangra, and an astronomer, Dr. Edwin Barker. Doctor Rangra confirmed that something of natural origin was occurring over Mitchell Flats outside Marfa, but he did not know what. All he could say for certain was that it was not man-made.

  • Dear Space Saver Enthusiast, Mrs. W. T. Giddings, who grew up watching the lights and whose father claimed he was saved from a blizzard when the lights led him to the shelter of a cave, considers the lights to be curious observers, investigating things around them.

  • Dear rlmarr,

Please don't fill up this site with tips on how to do research, or assurances that if only one researched enough the non-existent records of Native Americans, ranchers, pilots, etc. would suddenly appear. They won't; they never have.

Do everyone a favor and post these "phantom" reports for us all to see. Despite decades of challenges, no one has. Not ever. Not even a reference. You'd be the first.

  • During World War II pilots training at a nearby airfield tried to find the source of the lights from the air, but with no success.

  • May I suggest the library? Yes! Good old fashion book digging. There you will find countless recording from Indians, ranchers, pilots, teachers, military personal and on and on. So please do more research so you can be educated on Facts instead of Fiction. God bless you always.

  • The Native American Indians recorded the Marfa Light sightings centuries ago. Even the rancher saw them before the car was made. We traveled to the top of one of those high hill/mountains, looked across the entire valley and saw 100's of the lights. This was about 3AM. No cars. We also went to the highway of the supposedly reflection and watched. No cars! Only lights. Please explain the ones we saw high in the air also. As we were leaving the mountain one light followed us.

  • Thats awesome..I live in san antonio texas, and im goin with my dad on tuesday.Cant wait!

  • i wanted to go but i couldent

  • Glad I could finally see it! Great for those who cannot go and view the lights for themselves.
