  • i like you vids they are quick simple and helpful thanks so much

  • I never realized how versatile and beautiful locs could be!

  • 4 people have no idea what a dislike button is for.

  • ooh wow that ad is you! good job!

  • @ayannaefaye ha! yup! it's me!

  • I was watching this video and I noticed the ad beside it was a youtube ad for hairstyling videos with you on it O.O

    LOC-CEPTION!!

  • @XblackswanXx haaa! that's so funny!

  • @chescalocs Omgyou replied lol! I love you! I love your hair too, It's so beautiful

  • I FOUND IT!!! LOVE IT, THANK YOU :)

  • does the pin hurt?

  • @ladyMaryah my piercing? no, it doesn't hurt anymore because i've had it for over a year and it's fully healed. but when initially got it, yes. it hurt because i had a hole put in my body. piercings tend to hurt :)

  • @chescalocs no, i was asking about the pin that u put in the hair to hold it! im assuming that the hair is kind of heavy (since its long) and so maybe you feel the pin hurting in the head. I didnt even notice u had a piercing.. by the way where is it?!

    thanks

  • @ladyMaryah oh sorry, i get so many questions about my piercing that i just assumed that's what you meant. i have a chest piercing :) not sure if you can see it in this video. it's kinda old, so i don't even remember. no, the straight pins i use to style my hair don't hurt. if they were i wouldn't use them. a painful hairstyle wouldn't be much fun :P

  • Have you always had you hair natural? If so, how did you keep goin through the process of keeping it that way? I'm going natural and I need some tips. Any to offer?

  • @Rayvan2014 check out my happy birthday hair videos, they detail my journey from processed hair to natural. i've been natural for almost 9 years. i wore a perm all through high school. as for going through the process, i transitioned with braids and two strand twists and then rocked a fro before loc'ing my hair a year later. there's no easy answer to "going through the process" you just have to want natural hair to stick with it through the funky stages

  • That was so HAUTE!

  • Beautiful style

  • I don't have locs, but I fell in love with this so I think I'm gonna try this hairstyle with my hair. :)

  • Beautiful! And to dress it up even more you can always tuck a flower into the "dip" in the front/side :)

  • i tried this & two more of ur tutorials on my Senegalese twists...they worked just as well, thank u for the videos & ur hair is absolutely gorgeous!

  • I love it!

    Shalom & Blessings!

  • Chesca...I am always inspired by your hairdos, it helps me tremendously when I run out of ideas..but as a makeup artist I can't help but say...you are absolutely stunning!!!! your bone structure is fantastic, your eyes too. ok..Im done. :-)

  • @MsSHElectricity aw thank you! that's so kind of you to say!

  • Nice!

  • I'm sure you hear this all the time, but I just wanted to say that you are really beautiful. Awesome funky hairstyle too!

  • @Quintinia thanks, you're too kind :)

  • you are going to look beautiful no matter what you do

  • :0) Super cute

  • oOo...tres avant garde!

  • Nice. I saw a woman with this same hairstyle at a hair show...looks simple and easy :-)

  • @mylaylay18 surprisingly easy! i initially did this style after seeing a photo that only showed half of the hair, so i had to make up a solution for the front, which too about 5 or 6 tries to get it just right.

  • @chescaleigh Easy for YOU!! LOL...I think I'll need a bunch of bobby pins to make this work but it would come out nice...I'm rockin' a curly braid-out this week and getting ready for a outdoor festival in the sun today. Debating on whether to wear one of my hats or try a cool hairstyle like this one..hmmm...oooh, loove the options and love YOU for sharing your tips and tricks too *Hugs*

  • @mylaylay18 i dunno, this could work on medium length hair. just give it a try and let me know how it works out :)

  • @chescaleigh I will! I already have two ideas for my length...I have a sponge hair bun thingie that I could use in the front and just french roll up the back...the other I could use more bobby pins to do it like you did. Will let you know how it goes!

  • Very cute! Nice and simple, they type of style I love best!

  • @chenoda and fast! this tutorial is in real time, so it literally took me under 3 minutes

  • YEYYY I GOT A NEW LOOK! THANK YOUUUUU! LOVE IT!

  • your hair is gorgeous!

  • Love the hair. Your locs are really long.

  • i love the face you make when doing your hair!

    sooo cute!!! lol

  • @smiletone haa! extreme concentration!

  • SOOOO Pretty! I can't wait until my hair grows that long!

  • l o v e i t!!!!!!!!!!

  • Chesca-how did you maintain your baby locs over the summer? I love going to the beach and the pool and water parks, but i don't want my new locs to unravel.

love you and your vids <3

  • @xkxoxo14 great question! by the time summer rolled around for me, my hair was already loc'd so that wasn't a problem in my case. but, i'd suggest wearing a cap when you go swimming to protect your hair. it's tough because in these first few months you have to be very careful washing your hair, so try your hardest to keep your hair dry when swimming!

  • The "DO" totally rocks!!!

  • Really , Looks Like A Zealous Look ! Love It!

  • I love it! FIERCE~!!! That is definitely a style to go out in~!! APPLAUSE~!!!

  • i have several years to wait before i can attempt this style.. but is that a surface piercing on ur chest? very cute!

  • @OverXposedKC91 yes! i've had my dermal since november. glad you like it!

  • Awesome. Now my hair just need to grow.

  • LOVE IT cnt wait till my hair is long enough to style like tht. (i hope you can do the india arie inspired tutroial)

  • Wasn't this heavy?

  • @zanyboo101 no, not really. it's surprisingly light. i dunno, i love wearing updos and never have a problem with the weight. everyone is different. i know some people can't wear their hair up for long periods of time

  • I love the music you used! Actually, the music in all your videos is amazing. And your hair is, too, of course!

  • @caoimhin92 thanks! this song is from incompetech, which has a ton of free royalty free music

  • Very Pretty

  • Yeah 1st comment! Damnit i can't do this yet!!! GRRRRR

  • @dreadedbeauti after looking at your length, i think you could! just twist towards the front and your spiral at the front would be a lot smaller. you could use hair bands to secure it if you have lots of pieces sticking out. it can't hurt to try!

  • @chescaleigh hmmm...i'll try it when i put my hair down we'll c!!!
