I like how Gheorghiu takes over the whole thing. (and also how clearly deeply intelligent she is and refuses to reduce this interview, however rigged, to the Hollywood/extra style that seems to be favored by certain others....)
I absolutely love Gheorghiu in this role and in Traviata. She brings brings out so much emotion in her singing. And Vargas' voice is so lyrically beautiful. Boheme is a perfect opera to showcase both their talents.
A lot can be said for Renee Fleming as well. She is a wickedly talented singer AND she's very humble. She is always quick to praise her colleagues. That can't be said for some other singers unfortunately.

I just saw both of them at the San Francisco Opera- Angela in La Boheme and Ramon in Donizetti's L'Elisir d'amore and they were both AMAZING!!!!!!!
