  • it is true is ass to the grass but you should go down more slowly for have a perfect control on the weight

  • i like the technique.. just i wouldn't go that fast down.. i used to do that too.. but as time went by i realized i was not emphasizing my strength when holding it and coming down.. not to slow.. either..

  • what gym is that?? freakin nice

  • @icegoguma

its my university gym bro. VCU ( in richmond )

I think the best gyms are University gyms we have like 10 power racks and 3 sets of everything. newest machines, 3 double cable tiers, 4 benches, etc etc

same with GMU ( george mason ) their gyms 2x as big as ours and so is their swimming pool and they have another separate smaller gym.

but its probably wxspensive for non students and its very crowded. Unless you go in the mornings.

  • How is that 250lbs? I see a 45 lb plate for 250 lbs you need two plates on each side a ten and a 2.5.

  • @JohnwinningCorless maybe the other plates are sorta camouflaged because of the video quality?

  • @JohnwinningCorless no its 250 lbs. i guess you really can't see the ten and the 2.5's but they are there. As for the 2 plates on each side. the plates at that gym have handles and those handles are big freaking holes. and they have grooves so they lock together and it ends up covering up the handle holes.

i can't prove the 10 and 2.5 being there. they are. but i can't prove it with this video. as for the 2 plates they are there.

  • You roll your back too much. Drop the weight down and fix your form before you get hurt.

  • look down. elbows back. chest up. knees out. tighten torso. you are relaxing on the bottom which is causing you to lose the lower back arch and trunk tightness.

  • @drecar1

yea i thought so too. i got that fixed up

  • keep your head up, or at least look straight ahead, this helps with balance and with the lift as well

  • @TheDannyddd

yea my eyes look up but my head looks like its looking at the floor. Its from Starting Strengh by Ripptoe. And his head position is as if you stuck a tennis ball under ur chin. He says if your head position is tilted up it messed up your spine or correct anatomical position.

I sorta disregard this and now my lower jaw is perpendicular with my neck. and my eyes look at a little higher than wherever my eye level is until the top.

  • Lower the bar postion, it almost falls foward on your neck

  • @ltgrandmaps3

Nah its pretty low. Im doing the low bar squat version. I guess its cause my hips rose faster than my shoulders so it make it seem that way.

  • Keep your head up. Your feet are where they always have been. Don't look down and keep your hips pushed back.

  • Nice job JJinSS.

  • @FrankGarrett316

thanks, i originially posted this to show that dude on BB.com i could squat 250lbs. maybe they weren't perfect. but im sure it was ATG. my ass was 4 inches away from the ground.
