Trivia: Many of Susan George's lines had to be overdubbed by another actress in post-production, because she has a heavy English accent and it didn't fit the movie. That's why her dialogue sometimes doesn't match her mouth movements.

The end was shocking but as usual the bad guys get it. Seems like back then they went overboard on the explosives. If the movie was remade nowadays it would focus more on what their bodies went through , like somebody coming out the rear window and another actually being ejected through the windshield int o the train where it sprays it. Special effects have come a long way

I liked the tragic ending. They deserved it. It you watch the whole movie, they have no redeeming qualities. The girl is a whore, the driver is abusive and the mechanic is insane. The police are crazy too, but they are trying to stop a fool that is terrorizing the county...They should have gotten jobs and kept the racing on the track...Fonda's best movies end with him dead...
