Personal opinion, I think the return is much better when not telegraphed. The Y2J and DX for example, weren't as big as just Bishop "firing" HBK and glass shattered. lol Or if it's misleading in some way. Like Undertaker's Deadman theme playing but he premiered as the American Badass.

2011 was the year for returns. Triple H, Undertaker, Shawn Michaels came back for a day, The Rock, Booker T, and Kevin Nash. #2 return was made so great because Triple H was so unexpected.

Pretty awful list here tbh. The Rock's return was obviously amazing, the only reason some people seem to be hating on it is because Cena tells them to hate it and they play along. Though I hated it when it happened Cena's Rumble return was pretty cool. Taker's Judgement Day 2000 return was actually pretty mediocre, it was much better when he came out the next night with the light shining down from the top of the ramp, at JD it was barely noticed.

HBK, Bret Hart, even Undertaker set the bar for all wrestlers in terms of being the whole package.

The Rock came and created a new bar. One that very few have since almost reached.

I wish he stayed in the WWE. He's been the bad guy, been the people's champ, been the champion, and most of all proved that he could do the business.

The Rock's probably the only wrestler to ever have a lead role in a really good movie.
