its all about driver skills. if you do same driver in both cars and let them race seperatly porsche wins its a fact! its accelarates in 3.5sec. from 0-100 kmh and bmw m5 0-100kmh in 4.5 sec

Could be! The T>iptronic is not good; with a kickdown it will loose severl carlengths, in this race the correct gear was in from the start.

Also, the gearing is worse with automatic; the Porsche becomes a five speeder!

Actually, we experienced the opposite at speed and well above 200 km/h.

I Know, On papper the tiptonic should Be slower at high Speed because it's heavier and it has a Longer gear ratio. i searched for an explanation but i still don't get it. it is still faster than the manual at any gears ad i don't think that it is just because of the full boost turbo spooling at gear changes.

my dad has the 997 god its such a beautiful car one of the turbo's broke we had to go to rotterdam in the netherlands to get a replacement it looked sweet and gave it extra punch
