i just got back from the track only a few hours ago...some guy had his new impreza out...first pass he ran a mid 12 with only a few mods...just goes to show how awd makes a huge difference...love when these cars grab 2 lengths right out the gate....great car...keep the vids coming
@speck - hes going to run tens with a subaru off the lot, by modding it... As opposed to buying some 1985 car thats "better built" (as some would say) and modding that....
Due to the vehicle running stock axles and not knowing what they can hold, we did not want to take the chance driving it out. After this video was made, we have driven it to many track events.
I would guess around 14,000 (for all the mods, possibly more). So about 49,000-51,000 for a car that does a 1/4 miles in 10.5-10.9. Worth the money for sure. You can spend a lot more and have a car only marginally faster. The best news is you can do it on a 2009 or 2010 subaru right off the lot.
@phoenixfire711 I dunno who gave you thumbs down but how many 10 second cars can you buy for about $50,000? Not a GT500, not a Challenger Hemi, Not a Vette C6, not many things at all, maybe some belly button Fox Body or GM car...
dont get me wrong but a car that is like 9 or 10 grand can run a 10.9 go check it out on my page but dont get me wrong that car is sick i own a subaru impreza love it
Exactly! Race them the way you drive them! Why does everyone else have to make them ugly to win races? If you guys market that right you could be known for that. Awesome job!!
i just saw this AMR kit and after owning my 2008 VW MKV GTI. I think i wanna trade my car for a 2009-2010 subaru and get this kit. 480 HP bolt on kit, that's awesome.
The hatch STI has totally grown on me. I love it! I do own an old Road Runner and always will, but man, do I lust after owning an STI one day. Good job dustin' that nostalgic muscle. A lot of those old-school guys are so stuck in their era about "buy American" and "cubic inches" that they don't wake up and realize that there really new and cool stuff out there. I feel bad for them, being so closed minded. It's their loss!
Does that stock drivetrain hold up pretty well to that kind of power?

Stock drivetrain (axles, etc..). We did not want to break an axle and be stuck at the track.

Awesome car, but honestly how do you call it a daily driver if you trailer it to and from the track.
Most people definition of a daily driver is a car that you drive to the track.
