I think that the client broadcasts the request to the address of 255.255.255.255 instead of 192.168.11.255. How can the client know that the DHCP server deals out addresses from 192.168.11.0/24 network. The broadcast address should be 255.255.255.255. Correct me please if I am wrong about it.

So this is assuming that the camputer knows what ip the dhcp has? It cant just broadcast some sort of question?

Great little video, but not entirely accurate - the computer doesn't give the IP address back when it's finished.
