The Iron Curtain was instituted because Stalin didn't have to reconquer any new territory. His troops were already there and he occupied everything in his wake. @tindallpe Canada sucked the whole war. We were fighting a 2-front war and Canada's snowback-inbreds could barely beat a remnant force of Nazis in Holland, in the area the size of my backyard. Besides that, they were pretty much worthless, riding the coattails of the Americans. Their Commonwealth forces were complete failures, across the board. Wait for the USA to do all the dirty work. No wonder Churchill said that his biggest thrill in life was when the USA joined. He knew Canada SUCKED!
