Photoshop Tutorial - Adding A Soft Glow To A Face

When I click Edit "fill" it does NOT go black nor does it go back to the original image? suggestions?

This isn't a glow, it makes her face look duller.

If you need a dumbed down version, you can always just not do the layer mask at all, and just use your eraser tool on the blurry layer wherever you want it sharp, like the eyes. Take a deep breath, you'll be okay.

Yes it does. Do it over the Mask Layer in the Layers panel. It allows you to view/draw over it. I don't exactly know which is the oldest version of photoshop that supports this. But its VERY usefull !
