Pretty impressive!! I heardthat the auto pilot was possible in rc planes but the range is really 60km?!?! So its the RC plane of the military (like the RQ-11 Raven), fcking awesome! You should put an infrared and night stuff;) Oh and make more videos of it flying! =D

hmm, it looks like a easy star plane with a camera mounted ontop. Simple FPV system build in. Am I right? ;)

Yes this is an Easystar. Unfortunately, our rangevideo pan & tilt was damaged during a test flight. We were unable to repair the damage before the competition, so we settled for a simple mounting instead.

It is a full FPV system, but the UAV is also fully autonomous. It has some onboard equipment that aids the pilot, such as a wireless variometer, that can speak with recorded voice samples and communicate altitude. It can be picked up on a handheld scanner. The autopilot has a range of 60km. The aircraft is perfectly capable of flying itself for the entire flight, by following a pre-programmed flight plan, or by a manual controller sitting at a laptop dropping waypoints onto satellite photos :)
