A grt tut mate , I used bones Fr ma spider model now when I try to add path it all gts distort n doesn't really follow the path with the bones attached to it , any ideas how I can follow the path while it's legs r rigged ?
@sabz2011 It may be possible to link the main bone object to a dummy object, and have the dummy object travel along the path? Let me know if this works.
Thanks a lot, I'm using this to make a path for a camera to follow, but before i found ur tutorial, my camera wouldnt bend with the curves, now i know to press follow and pick the right axis, thanks so much for your help!!
which version of 3ds max u have, i have max 9, 32 bit version, but when i try to edit spline and move dots of a circle i have only x,y,z line to move, but i don`t have those 2 green dots you have to bend part of a circle, can u turn them on?
I looked in the preferences and you can change the size of the handles, but not hide them. Do you have "vertex" mode selected in the edit panel? Also, make sure it's not a NURBs curve.
i found what my problem was, when i was creating a line, a choose that my initial type is smooth and my drag type is smooth, and when that is used u can`t get the handles :(
tanx for trying to fix my problem, sorry for your time, your channel is great ;)
Are you using the perspective viewport? Try the different viewports and make sure that you havent accidently pressed the x key which hides the arrows for moving/rotating/scaling.
AWESOME tutorial, thanks man

@Nastypsychoboy
Reverse the direction by keyframing the percentage for the path follow - turn on Auto Key, frame 0 set to 100%, and frame 100 set to 0%

I see. You could also right-click on a single vertex or a selection of vertices and choose from the smooth, corner, bezier types to change them.
Glad you worked it out. Sometimes it's easy to overlook modified default settings.
