Nice video - but odd thing is this: St. Edmund was a Catholic who died for his Catholic faith. He as not a member of the Anglican church. Of all that is recorded and known of the man - he was thoroughly and completely Catholic. I've often wondered why Anglicans still honor Catholic saints? Bede, Edward the Confessor - all Catholic. I can't understand this...and didn't Henry VIII desecrate rather than "dismantle" his holy shrine??
I don't know. Look him up on Wikipedia and you'll find that although Saint Edmund died in England, he was actually born in what is now Germany. I would rather go with someone like Alfred the Great or the Venerable Bede or William Wilberforce, and go to use of the White Dragon as our flag. But that's just my opinion though.

@ElizabethIrish
He was a catholic indeed but he certainly did not die for his catholic faith he died an Anglo-saxon king honourably fighting invaders.
