It's so strange. I never learned to speak Taishanese. My father was born in the States and never spoke to me, though I can count and know a few isolated words. I am learning mandarin now because that's what I can learn at university. The interesting thing that that when I hear you talk, you sound just like my grandparents (ie not weird, even if I don't understand), and Mandarin just sounds strange. I would really like to learn my family's dialect someday though.

The other station, demolished now, used some western design. I hate how they tear down historic buildings and replace them with ugly looking tile buildings....
Hi Steven, I love all your videos from China. I was just there in Taishan China last March to August and came back to NYC. My family and relatives resides in Taishan City. That was the last place before I had to depart to Hong Kong and fly back to NY.
thank you for showing me the bus station in Taicheng. I still remember when there were nothing but rice paddies there. It was on the road going out to Dajiang right by Bahn Gong. I would probably get lost going out there nowadays.
Thank you for video taping TaiCheng as I made the request to you before. You're the man. Are you going to the famous Walking Street in the commercial center of TaiCheng next time to video tape? Bring us more good quality videos. Enjoy your good life in China.

Steven, love to hear your Taishanese. I repeat what you said but I am not good at it. No one around me speak Tishanese, my parents' mother tongue.
