Crysis Singleplayer Demo fun with physics

i actual, were very dissapointed at crysis, especialy crysis warhead, graphics are good thats ok, gameplay is overpowered and the physics.. the physics were awfull, i expected a LOT more from all those rewiews....

I think Crysis is great game but dumb also. They made some weird version for russia or something my friend brought it here as a present for me and I don't have Sandbox there and I can't play MP cuz it won't let me install the patch so I am angry on him... :D

All I can say is by far the realism is really GOOD. I mean NO OTHER FPS shows your FEET or LEGS when you look down.

Halo 3? If so then I may be wrong on that count, but then I have not played Halo 3 yet. I have played both 1 & 2 (xbox), and only ever liked the combat.

Thats exactly what I have and at 1280x1024 and med/high settings I usually get 10-20 fps, so its fine, you just gotta tweak setting around a bit :)

There are LOADS of other games mate.

First thing that comes to mind is HalfLife2.

In Garry's Mod you can do the exact same thing.

Even steam engine physics are sufficient to do this. A couple of boards coming apart, I mean, COME ON

They only had the destorying houses in HL2 EP2 but only as scripted events. That's partly why HL2 EP2 requires so much more of your comp than the others. HL2 is my favorite game ever without a doubt but the physics in Crysis are in a completely different league than those of HL2.

Garrys mod uses the Source engine, completely unedited and you could shoot up a house JUST like in Crysis.

Hear me well, I LOVE Crysis.. but the sheet metal houses break way to easy and not in a revolutionairy way at all.

Yeah you can in Garry's Mod. But Garry's mod isn't a huge level like in Crysis or HL2. You have to think of the bigger picture. Of course you can do it with the Source engine (Havok physics engine). It's very simple physics just with a lot of objects, but to make it work on a large scale is different and no game has truly taken advantage of it like Crysis does.

Don't get me wrong.. Crysis kicks ass but it's not as great as you think.

It's not %100 innovation...not at all. But it's pushing physics and graphics a lot more than Half-Life 2 ever did. And personally I think the best part about Crysis is the gameplay and not the physics/graphics (although they're a real plus).

i agree completly, gameplay in single and multiplayer is awsome! there are some bugs in both, hackers in both, but if you can find the right server, this game kicks some huge ass! 9.8/10 for crytek

Personally I think Half-Life 2 is a way better game and was more innovative when it came but Crysis is pushing for new boundaries and is an all around amazing game. Well done Crytek indeed.
