Go to the composer's web site; there is a disc called "Heartbreakers" that includes a performance of the piece by Arno Bornkamp, the saxophonist for whom the piece was written.

What was up with the improvising on the repeat of the section beginning at m.248 (the 7:45 mark in the video)? What was your justification for doing that? (Just curious -- I've never heard anyone else do that, and there's nothing in the score to suggest it.)

It's also called respecting the composer's intentions, as reflected in the score. This was my concern. And I thought I made it clear that I was "just asking."

joshsaxophone2 sent me a reply to my question, and gave a satisfactory (to me) answer.

Interesting that I get a negative rating for asking a question based on concerns about authenticity and representing a piece the way it was meant to be heard. I never said I didn't like the performance -- I was merely looking for more information.
