  • This was the first game I ever played on a TV console.

  • @theDarkness4ever1 ahhh memoriess

  • Journey to Silius is awesome too. Sunsoft is really badass.

  • Never noticed before, they only licensed the likeness for Keanton and Nicholsen, but not Kim Bassinger.

Also, you can get that Killer Moth battle to go much faster if you stand further forwards in the division of the stones. Just blast him with the baterangs and it can be done in about 10 seconds. Where you were in the video was breaking his AI pattern, dragging it out longer than it was ever intended to be.

  • NES game controller buttons are not pressure sensitive, when you say "press hard" you just mean hold it for longer. ;) Thanks for making a Let's Play of this game. Good job too.

  • I remember i got this for my birthday the year it came out, It blew me away at how awesome a NES game could sound.

  • I still can't believe FireFly actually made it into a game.

  • That emulator makes the audio sound like balls.

  • @ModestDeity it's not the emulator, it's my shitty recording.

  • @ModestDeity Your balls make 8-bit music?! Oh wow.

  • I love the score and look of this game.

  • batman nes commercial

  • best game for NES after Mario!

  • one of best game for nes ever

  • noob camping @ 1st boss

  • The music is so much better than in any late games

  • thumbs up if you like oldschool NES games!

  • I think the commentary thing is quite fun

  • I love this game, brings back so many good memories! PS, I don't know if you know, but It's over 9000!!!! views on this video!

  • the first boss looke to easy.

  • Nice LP man. =D I love this game, although I never really played it that much and haven't beat it. By the way, I noticed that you're playing on an emulator. Are you using a keyboard or an NES USB controller? (I think they make those.) Just out of curiosity.

  • for this one i was using a ps2 controller.

  • @skorch82 classic side scrolling masterpiece..games today suck

  • when I see this video, I feel kid !! good game

  • 'the stupid's?' I have a name fucktard.

  • This is Let's play prick face. Let's play always have commentery. Scorch makes good let's plays.

  • You don't punch, you BATMAN!

  • I loved the movie and the game is pretty fun!

  • great game find it hard when i was 8 or 9

  • Great atmosphere for the time... But so difficult !!!!

  • Hell yeah, Killer Moth!

  • This game is hard as hell. But Joker looks like Jack Nicholson, which is good thing :)

  • the music was great

  • Second level has one of my favourite video game themes.

  • I agree, me likes it!

  • this game brings back memories of me playing this back in the day, I could never beat it up till now

  • 1989. That was the same year the first Batman movie came out. How well I remember.

  • OMG, I remember this game. I played it a lot, because I am a Batman fan, but I couldn't get past the second level... what can I say, I was young.

  • Este es el mejor juego de batman que eh jugado.

  • i loved this game but i loved it better not using weapons

  • this looks super fun. wish i was as old as u skorch so i coulda played this lol XD

  • You can, just emulate it, skorch is doing so. Also it's also cool if you get an USB NES or SNES controller.

  • Ouff! I had this game back in the NES days. Well, i was managed to get to the third or fourth stage. It was impossible, being like 9 years old and having no save states. I still need to tame this beast! Argh!

...P.S, first stage music is kickass.

  • This game is brutally hard!

  • Oh, God. No way I could do this game. All the platforming... *shudders*

  • Yeah, but it actually isn't as bad as it seems until you get to the Joker's Cathedral.

The whole game is pretty forgiving with game-over's, but once you get there, it just doesn't matter, b/c the level is difficult enough.

  • yeah, the platforming in this game is actually a LOT easier than it looks, right up until the final level. The last level is similar to getting tied down to a table and fucked by a horse.

  • That's an interesting way of putting it... but yes, it was much more difficult than the previous areas of the game. I think it was there to add time to a fairly short game.

  • Oh, and nice video of course. Well played :P

  • Thank you very much!

  • Ah i remember playing this game, it was great, good to see it again ^^

  • THAT was Killer Moth? I thought that he was Firefly.

  • Yes, although they don't really follow the traditional descriptions of the characters as seen in the comics.

Look Killer Moth up on Wikipedia, he is mentioned as being the first boss.

Although, I can see, based on the comical depiction of Firefly, that he could be confused with this guy. He did have the capability to launch grenades and fly and was the protoge of Killer Moth before he went insane.

    Thanks for pointing that out.
