practice at least 15 minutes every day and you´ll notice you improve playing guitar, then, after a year, you notice you are a lot better and then just keep growing :P

at least, that's how i improve my skills :)

this guy however has years of experience so i guess i have a long way to play just like him (i play guitar for just a few years now) :P

@Thompsongast 15mins? That's like warming up my tube amp. If you really want to get good, practice at least 2 hours a day and broaden your taste in other music genres. But of course a lot of blues. blues all the way everyday

then you´re not using the average practice amp.... :')

in combination with school, work, gym and homework i don't have 2 free hours everyday, so if i at least make some time to get my fingers stretched out for the Satriani work and maybe also find an half hour to work on some songs and then practice a little longer i might get to an hour. But (just remembered my summer holiday starts in 5 weeks and lasts for 3 months :D)

And yeah man I used to be like that too and I still am. But i figured it's either guitar or gym and I gave up my gym pass. it was eatin my wallet anyways. Would rather spend that on more equipment and I'm just a little flabby but so what..

I just got this guitar, and was wondering, if I set the action lower or change the strings from 10's to 9's would it be altering the signature? I mean would it be stupid to do that?

It is a signature guitar but it is your guitar so changing string or adjust action is no problem in my opinion .

@0M0O0F0 yeah you can do that because John Mayer doesnt use 9's anyways he uses 11's, Fender just puts 9's on everything from the factory so it will have the least amount of tension on the neck while it is being shipped and sitting the guitar shops.

The higher action you have the harder you can attack the notes and muted strings without them ringing out or buzzing. Different gauge string also gives you different tones...it's all a matter of personal taste.

Ok! Klinkt ontzettend goed! Hoe is de bespeelbaarheid? Sommige Strats kunnen 'stroef' aanvoelen. Ik was benieuwd hoe dat bij deze gitaar is. Groetjes. Ook heel goed gespeeld om niet te vergeten trouwens!!!

@SjaakShirly6559 Gitaar voelt niet stroef aan komt oa door de satijn afgewerkte neck en de 10 radius in de toets. Zal de complimenten door geven aan Joost. O ja er zijn er slechts 500 gemaakt.

Looks pretty cool and sounds like the Mayer tone, sort of. :) What's the finish on this strat? Poly or Nitro? The gold HW is nice, but the plasticky tuners, uhoh!
