Everyone has different Jeans and your hair will grow. You don't need relaxer but I have a relaxer on to and my hair is at my bra length. So it may or may not grow or it may damage your hair if you put a powerful or grown up womens perm. Be careful! Bless you! Btw I love your accent! And I am black and Mexican If you are wondering.

Tangles! Here’s one of my favourite tips for detangling hair without losing a handful along the way. Always detangle hair whilst it is completely immersed in water. This technique works best in the bath but a basin will suffice also. When “black” hair is damp or semi wet it is very fragile and prone to breaking. However using this underwater method allows you to gently loosen tangles using your fingers ONLY, no combs or brushes please and reduces hair loss to a minimum. Congrats on engagement.
I'm currently natural just meaning I don't relax my hair. Been natural for 12 months. What do you use for moisture? You should really try some type of oil on the ends of your hair. Your hair just looks kind of dry. I don't want you to think I'm being rude. Just given a suggestion. Some type of oil just to keep your moisturized will def help with your hair growth. Congratulations on your hair progress and engagement. Your hair journey has been so successful and a joy to follow.
With the tangles and knots; don't comb your hair when dry moisturise it first this way you have more slip. Water and Shea butter are great for moisturising. Try regular light dustings this also helps. Washing your hair in sections also helps. Have you tried the KimmayTube leave-in? It's great and also smooths out hair cuticles which = less damage!
try detangling with conditioner (a leave in or wash out) I find there are less detangle, even after your finished washing selection your hair & add a little oil to your hair which should be wet still then comb through, if you have a detangling comb or brush even better you will find it cut your time down to 30min to a hour.
I always clarify after a relaxer and actually clarify monthly, my ends arent dry...but they frizzy, this I believe is due to my natural hair texture, it doesnt bother me. I also use grapeseed oil daily..which is ceramides rich..
@NaturalhairGrwthShow You should give your hair more credit :) Aren't you textlaxed?? You probably have frizziness due to that. As you said, it's probably your natural texture trying to make an appearance more than anything. You'll have luscious locks before you know it...
Your hair looks good. You should keep this technique of just blowdrying to achieve the straight look. I think it is better for you considering the fact that you mention that you have fine hair. It looks so full after just blowing it out and it looks so healthy. Keep up the good work.

i've noticed from watching Uk black girls hair that is relaxed from black girls in America it seems that America hair styles look better. Your hair is growing, girl! There's a lot of myths that come with relaxers. I relax my hair, & when I blow dry it, it's thick as if it was all natural. It doesn't matter whether you're natural or relaxed, the key is properly conditioning your hair & applying as little heat as possible. Your relaxed hair looks so much healthier than when you were all natural. I'm glad u chose to do what was right for u instead of listening to others.

Your hair is growing, girl! There's a lot of myths that come with relaxers. I relax my hair, & when I blow dry it, it's thick as if it was all natural. It doesn't matter whether you're natural or relaxed, the key is properly conditioning your hair & applying as little heat as possible. Your relaxed hair looks so much healthier than when you were all natural. I'm glad u chose to do what was right for u instead of listening to others.

It looks great! I followed your natural hair journey and, frankly, I think your hair looks healthier and thicker like this! What you're doing, it's working for you. And I'm not saying that because I love relaxers and hate "naturals"--I'm natural! :)

I hate doing my hair too. I would like your opinion on relaxing vs. heat training. Do you think your hair would be thicker and your scalp would be healthier with just the heat training or do you think it would just cause more breakage on the end. I'm natural and my mom and sister heat train and they both think I should too.
