I wish they would make a downgraded version of this phone with the pico, that's all I really want, I could care less if it will send an email or text faster than anything else overseas. I use my phone for talking...

Are there any controls on the 3.5mm headphone adapter such as mute, volume control, etc.? Also, could you please tell me how long the wire on the adapter is, not including the headphones.

it is small, small as the $2.99 adapters from HK on ebay. They had a problem where if i had my headphones were plugged in, if someone called, they would not allow me to talk with headphones on. WIth my xperia, i talk in speakerphone mode, and listen with the earbuds.

If there will be no custom roms its probably not worth it.

itl prob be better to just wait for hd2... although this has a keyboard...

I can do that with Nokia phones as well. Actually it is done automatically if I had headphones on, the mic device is used.

If you have a Xperia you may want to wait for the new Xperia coming to T-Mobile - although Tmo's 3G is pretty spotty :S . I have better luck with AT&T's 3G - I have never been on EDGE so far, with Tmo I have been down to GPRS.
