Another thing you seem to be ignoring is the fact that Earthbound was very revolutionary for its time. It was the very first RPG to actually have enemies in the overworld, rather than random encounters. It was also the first game to have a basic sneak attack system, as well as having a unique "instant win" ability when you are at high levels. While these may seem simple, it was Earthbound that introduced them.

Another thing that's wrong in this video is the claim that the music and the graphics are outdated. The track you used is a music track that's supposed to sound weird/alieny. Much of the other sound effects are actually pretty good for SNES era. While the graphics at first seems bad, it's actually just the style that Shigesato Itoi (the creator of the game) intended, as to leave much of the game to the player's imagination.

OK, there's a couple things wrong with this video. First of all, the whole fetus theory about Giygas is misinformation. Giygas was INSPIRED by a rape scene, yes. However, the woman in the movie DIED, so Giygas himself is not a fetus. In fact, the Giygas you see in Earthbound is actually the character's soul, since you see his real form in Earthbound 0/ Mother 1
