what a ridiculous game... with those pins in the limited edition, it feels like they pretty much knew the Dreamcast was the end of Sega's hardware days.
@tvandlust This wasn't the last SEGA game on Dreamcast, far from it in fact, SEGA was still publishing Dreamcast games well into 2006, it just stopped being viable in a marketing sense in 2001 when SEGA reviewed it's structure and wanted to set aims of owning at least 25% of the entire gaming industry.
SEGA still supported their systems, Dreamcast especially in an underground sense for several years after then, even now Dreamcast still gets new releases every year.
@Calengela I didn't say it was the last game Sega published, I said it was "one of the last," which is pretty accurate. Sega did publish a few games beyond 2001, including Under Defeat in 2006, but Sega published maybe 8-10 games beyond 2001. I'm not so sure I'd say that's "far from" being "one of the last games" to be published by Sega (although it is not accurate to say that it's one of the last games all together, that's probably more due to the fact that I don't record with a script).
Limited Edition was only possible to buy via internet sell site. That site name was "Dreamcast Direct" selling on the SEGA official web site. But, standard edition(DVD package size) was released in real game shop after 6 month in Japan. However, many extras does not include into a standard edition.
That's how Special Edition should be... unique! Nowadays special ed. became something standard. Tin box, artbook, dvd extra and some dlc. And as you said it, there is starting to come out special editions that has only dlc and nothing else. It's sad to editions like Segagaga starting to disappear.
This is so funny. I just bought this for my partner and it arrived today. I opened it to check the contents and noticed the two disk places in the case and panicked thinking it was missing something. I should have just watched this video. I ended up giving him his present early because I was worried, haha. Oh well.
Now thats a name segagaga?? Maybe lady gaga was inspired by it. Whoa!!! BA shirt! Thats cool that the person you bought it from kept all of it sealed. Those pins are sooooooo sweet. Nice review my man.
I believe there was also a Segagaga vmu released as well. When searching ebay jap stores type in SGGG. Your condition is amazing.Mine had a crease on the top of the box.I got mine last summer and well it was the only I had seen up there in a long time...since then come to think of it I haven't seen any until recently.
@KeruptKiller Yeah, probably a little bit, I'd say. I knew of the game prior to his videos, but didn't really consider it "obtainable" until I saw him with it, I suppose.
Pretty cool. Why do you think they didn't include a Nomad pin? Also, you think there are fake or reproduced limited editions out there, could be risky.
haha, loved the plot^^ you know when someone make a game like this in the point they where its because they where really desperated, or simply didnt care anymore XD Well im going to buy this game now, but just the standard edition. Thanks Craig!
@AndrewXAnarchy Yeah, they just sprung up like wild flowers recently, which is how I got mine. Before just a week or two ago, I had never seen a limited edition on eBay at all. That's not to say there weren't any up, just that they must have been pretty elusive.
screw microsoft... COME BACK TO US SEGA!!!! >-<

It's a great set. :)
It's funny, this game started development way before the Dreamcast was in any trouble, so the game's content is even more bizarre.

@NeverKnowsBests What, he's an asshole for wanting to preserve a video game rarity? Collectors tend to do that kinda thing you realize...
Accourse you COULD just be TROOOOOOOLLIN'...
Or if your comment was directed at someone else, I apologize.
Sweet pickup though Craig! Love the packaging... so simple, yet so elegant.
