No kidding--I went to this show (taping of BLUEGRASS,BLUEGRASS for Kentucky Educational Television) because I had a couple of free tickets. I was not really a big bluegrass fan when I went...pretty much was when I came out. I loved all the songs here, but I wish you had "Beautiful Star of Bethlehem" separated out so I could put it on my Facebook page for Christmas.
Goes to show how many great singers come from the South and Eastern Kentucky. I was born and lived for a while in Hen Pen Hollow in Melvin, Ky. We always went back down to see my relatives for get togethers. People would come around and we'd play music for hours. The banjo players came and they'd go outside and take a break and have some whiskey each time they came back in they played better. My hearts in Kentucky but my body's someplace else. Hershel Jones sang from Wheelwright
@DeathbringerDrago Larry does it so well because it's IN HIM...He's Carter's Stanley's son...Everyone knows that in Bluegrass...Ever wonder why Ralph chose him to be his lead singer after Carter died...Gave him his guitar and his boots...
This is a beautiful song. Nobody, nobody could do it better than Keith and Ralph. My little grandson that is 7 yrs old loves this song. I play it for him everytime he visits. I ask him why he likes this song. He said " I just like his voice." My grandson knows great music!
This is good no doubt !! Larry Sparks man what a job he does on this song much more more powerful and with a beat only sparks can do......He brings I ve just seen the rock of ages alive.
wow !!! this is such great music. I grew up on this stuff being from Pikeville , Ky. and all . But I hated it when I was a kid but now that I'm older WOW. Ther melodies, the living , the life experiencies in this music is like no other not even in the blues. This is the music of the Applachia. great music......... WHEN YOUR READY FOR IT...
