Having viewed a lot of hi rez pics of Mars, it's pretty clear to me that it's mostly covered in mud of differing colors and densities, giving rise to many anomalous optical illusions. I don't see anything suspicious here, or any buildings of a conventional nature.
But this ain't Mayberry either. Everything on the planet is suspect until proven otherwise.
Sorry to inform you but these images aint hi res they are digitized, when an image is digitized u get paterns made by the digitizing process, just look at a digital photo of 1 color & u will see paterns that look like roads or buildings
I dont see any clear structures on the lower side on the crater (the area you point out) BUT at 10 oclock on the upper crater rim is what appears to be a huge building. It like the hangers where I park my airplane in Texas. Other structures may be in the same area but are not as clear. Look at the origional photo on the ESA site and have a good graphics card. I think your gut feel is right. This area is teaming with interesting structures. Thanks ! .
