Aimee is a delight and not the egotistical person some may think...I know ...I met her in Nashville, hung out for a bit and she is an amazing person and artist.

By itself, this John Galt version is great. reminds me of a very very poor mans iron/wine. That being said, this performance was dreadful. He didn't meld together with her or the band at all. A lower voice would have been better for a true duet. At least she could have picked someone that could jam with her on the guitar or bass.

Sure - a man won the contest - any woman would have been to much of a competitve challenge for Aimée. John has a good voice, but that's all I like about his performance. He does a tiresome version of the song, deplorable. There were so many far better entries, but surely Aimée Egoist wouldn't have been able to stand up to some young pretty girl on stage... anyway, not a difficult task to perform better than the elderly lady herself.
