  • Thanks for the lesson--very helpful!

  • Rhododendrons and azaleas should be planted slightly higher than the surrounding soil to make sure that roots aren't buried too deep. You can put a thin layer of mulch over the root ball.

  • Why are you planting it so the root ball sticks out an inch or two above the soil level?
