my 318i has a pretty good exhaust its basically stock so i had it removed now there is just piping going from the headers to the muffler. it sounds better and i feel some more power coming from the car
I really hate the way he says Dinan Cold Air Induction System. Like its something special. News Flash buddy........ CAI's DON'T WORK on 5 series. If anything they are hot-air intakes. Take a good look where the filter is. THAT'S RIGHT!!!! RIGHT BY YOUR ENGINE. HOT AIR. Duuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrr. Waste of money.
@Classic0187 Apparently you know nothing about an E39 with Mteck bumber. The fact is, is that the filter is at the end of the intake tube, several inches from the ground, where it receives direct air from scoops in the bumper. The filter is nowhere near the engine and its' heat. It's wannabes like you who know nothing of what you speak and spread bad info on the net. Moron!
This one isn't high priced at all. For example, a SuperSprint or Dinan would cost upwards of 500-700. Sounds are different as is flow and efficiently. However, for the price, I really like this.
The rear bumper is part of the U.S. 2003 540 OEM M-Tech package. In essence, it is the same rear as used on the M5, although that one has outlets for the dual exhaust set up. The bumper was around $500.
this guy is so pussy who wants to hear some gay reving like this, i want to hear you open the taps all the way and lets hear full rage and the decel. i just think that if you post some thing make it good, unless its for old men then thats fine they don't floor any thing any ways.
There is indeed some drone around 1500-2000 with the automatic, nothing to kill buying it. I would think with a stick, not much issue. That being said, my wife has never had anything negative to say. Since I took this pic, I have shave a bit of the rear valance and had the unit repositioned upward, now look as it should!
sounds kinda stock. i'm getting a magnaflow 14815 on my 95 530. i plan to delete the resonator, so it should be deep and loud. especially the sound must be different since my car is a 3l V8
I am running an Eisenmann Race on my e36 M3 and have been very pleased with the results. My buddy has UUC on his e46 330 and the drone on normal acceleration sounds like a pop can. Looks good
No, nothing was deleted or removed. The only thing exhaust wise was the addition of the muffler. I will mention, it has gotten louder after about 3 weeks of being on the car.
hello, i wanna ask you about the fuel cons. i`m interesed in buying an e39 530i but i`m afraid its going to be to expensive, an e39 530d takes about 9liters in the city what can you tell me about the 530i? 10x!
Does anybody know if this will fit an 06 3 series?

Is there any interior drone, at highway speeds or cruising? How about popping on decel? Sounds great otherwise, and classic tip selection!

The cost for the muffler was around $125 US. I paid a muffler shop $80 for the install. Can't help you with the Aussie dollars though, good luck. :)
