Ive been trying to learn this song. Ive noticed that you only tune in drop D if its an electric guitar. Acoustics is only a half step down. At least thats what ive seen. If someone noticed something different plz let me know. But good video. Helped a lot.

well i know the chords but by the time you show me how to use them im fucking lost!!!!!just show the formation for each chord, the picking with that formation, and the transition from one to the other. play 1 then 1,2 then 1,2,3 and so on!

nice tutorial. I bought a guitar yesterday and I'm used to play it with the tumb edge but it looks like it gets stuck in the chord after a good time of playing, so that gets hard to make rythm or follow the drums

hey man ,,, I believe there is not c cord in the intro because i saw the lesson on staind's website plus he played that song at the Tara wildlife plantation here in Mississippi about one or two months ago and the cameraman showed all the cords and there was not a C cord in the intro,,but good work... Oh if you dont believe you can probaly look it up on youtube, its call Dream season or drury outdoors with staind..

Good lesson. I prefer to play the last bar with the open drop Db string instead opening with the open Ab. It just sounds a lot more vibrant and well rounded since Mushok plays this song in G# on 6 string acoustic while Aaron is in D#.

@ramprage15: It's going to sound the same because the relationships between the notes are the same, but if you try to accompany with singing, you're going to notice that you have to sing half a note higher to match the guitar.

@PuttyNathan yeah except tune everything another half step down so the low E string is tuned down to a C (2 whole steps) and then the rest of the strings go GCFAD (1 whole step). There are a ton of bands that seem use basically only this tuning besides system like Breaking Benjamin, Chevelle, and Sick Puppies are almost all drop C I think. Actually, Chevelle takes it a step lower and goes drop B a lot.
