  • how can hip hop be dead if wu-tang is forever?

  • this feels like one of his greatest songs. Currently my favorite

  • Is it just me...or did you all noticed the random white folk in the last few seconds of the video as well

  • This is disgusting.. Nd I only listened to like 2 seconds of it. If this is the real version, It REALLY fucking sucks. Acapella is much more soothing..

  • The GOAT! The only other artist that could get on this beat and be this detailed and keep a mastered flow would be Big Pun and Andre 3000 but Pun is dead and 3000 is lazy as fuck so Nas is greatest rapper alive.

  • well its 2011 and we can say that hip-hop didn't survive ):

  • @lebronshaqfaction its breathing a bit now

Nas is saving it this year, listen to the songs thats out now from him or with him included

    listen to Nasty by nas

ghetto dreams by common ft. nas

rich and black by raekwon ft. nas

and theres more to come from nas with his new album, i heard even az is gonna be on it

hip hops looking good when Nas gets in the picture

  • @ThumbsUpMike i hope we get it this year

  • @lebronshaqfaction elzhi,j.cole,big k.r.i.t.-you sure?

  • i wonder why this wasnt chosen for the album, even tho i prefer the acapella tho. It just had that raw feeling to it

  • @LwiLLmusic He couldn't get the sample cleared in time, so he put the a capella on the album

  • why the fukk wasn't this version on "Hiphp is dead"

    you cofuse me sometimes, nas.

  • @Fin6as yeah Nas needs better decision making

  • @Fin6as the sample wasnt cleared actually

  • @Fin6as someitmes its the Label.

at the end of the day, they still write the check

  • @icecru2 thats true

  • why the fukk wasn't this version on "Hiphp is dead"

    you cofuse sometimes, nas.

  • Is this on any compilation album of Nas ?

  • @GrimmjowProduction its on hip hop is dead

  • @ThumbsUpMike No it's not. The original version is an acapella. The acapella is the one that's on the album. Someone just threw a nice beat onto this song. THIS IS NOT THE ORIGINAL.

  • @OldshcoolTypeSoul ohh thats weird

i never got around to buying this album but i knew this song was on it none the less

  • @OldshcoolTypeSoul Nah, this is the original. Sample didn't get cleared in time so Nas put it on the album as an acapella.

  • damn this song is dope, wish this was on the album and not just that acapella.

  • Why didn't this version make the album?

  • last song on HHID....

i wish he had a 2nd verse on this

  • @CowboyKilla89 This was the outro to the album, rather than a straite album cut, so it's a strong 32bars, nd the reason for the accapella on the album was b/c they couldn't get the sample cleared in time for the release

  • @shonha1 Aint that a bitch, this is heat.

  • NaS will forever be the best rapper alive untill someone forcably ends his life...then em will take his place. maybe lupe ? NaS you are the greatest alive....

  • @wudup720 He's not the greatest alive, hes the greatest EVER! GOAT, and that clown eminem will never be the best..sorry, lupe? eh, hes good, but not good enough. HIP HOP WILL NEVER DIE!

  • @LONDON1KaZR eh, as of EVER? I say him & Rakim are a tie for different reasons. GOAT? and Em has skills he just on some bullshit. and Lupe is the new gen NaS....just people don't recognize his realness

  • @wudup720 Mmm Rakim is great no doubt, the best...of his time, he taught most of the greatest how to do this shit, but NaS surpassed him man, NaS is the GOAT if not for you, definantly for me.

  • @LONDON1KaZR i finally got what GOAT means-_- lmfao yeah i'm saying they're tied cause again, like you said, Rakim paved the way for some of the greatest. NaS even did U.B.R. on the Streets Diciple album...if i HAD to chose, obviously NaS over Ra, but Ra is definetly in the top 5 for me

  • @wudup720 cool cool

  • check also my remix.

    peace.

  • This is Nice .. Check Out My Version I Produced .. /watch?v=fBzE3hBVMxo

  • NaS is in istanbul The king

    From istanbul To QUEENSBRIRDGE

    QB_FINEST

  • who sings ? i love the end of the song, the woman singing very nice

  • best rapper!

  • this version is my favorite

  • Badass beat

  • Wait. How did Officer Ricky get his version cleared?

  • hellno, acapella version was so much bether

  • @ullern93 i agree man. sounds like the guy that mixed it made nas's bars com in late. the soap and water line at the end is of melody

  • sounds a lot better with a beat

  • @IProphetI Yep add a few beats I heard remixed or this here and you have a classic album IMO! What a waste of a song he put on there without a legit beat...........

  • Comment removed

  • @onblock7 yea this shit sounds so much better wit a beat (especially this beat) .. I tried to listen to the a capella but I really couldnt.. This would have given the album another mic just adding a beat to it

  • my favourite rapper of all time

  • @JW2K3 my favorite rapper AND poet of all time

  • WtF this the grouchs beat?

  • no...this is Esther Phillips beat..

  • i love underground we just use the sample like fuck it

  • acapella version is way nicerr :]

  • word mayn

  • Hells Yeh

  • @leahluvsyu Are you serious? This with a beat is way nicer man.

  • This version better. If y'all like underground hip hop, click my page. I got my whole mixtape plus new tracks posted. New mixtape late Nov 08, free download. 1

  • In this song's lyrics, Nas finally identifies why new rap isn't real hip hop anymore. New rappers care more about the chance for money than the chance of making good rap.

  • The sample is "And I Love Him" by The Friends of Distinction

  • i kne wit lol it sounds just lik Maybach Music

  • aint this the same sample for Rick Ross Maybach Music?

  • i like the acapella one better and always will because i think its the realest track on this album. i can hear everything he says and sounds like he means.

  • dis beat goes hard... its a shame this version was never released..

  • If this is really the original, it's a shame it didn't make the LP the accapella was tight considering the concept, but this is bangin.

  • He just couldn`t get the sample cleared. Too bad though.

  • but rick ross got it cleared?

  • Beautiful

  • holy shit i love this version.

its too bad they had to throw the acapella version on the record.

this song really catches the style of the album and would have finished it real nicely

  • i love this song reminds me of harsh days in the hood

  • yeah i like when nas tells stories.. hes smart

  • im from AZ

dude my cousin went crazy with my comments, so ull see this comment on many Nas videos

    but its true anyway

    Nas is King of NY

  • Nas- true king of NY..

  • Tha best shit I ever heard, NaS is da King of Hip-Hop

  • is this a remix?

if this is really the original version, where did you get it from??

  • this is really the original version the sampled couldnt get cleared for album release....perfect ending for the album

  • love the song but why is there 20 seconds of nothing at the end?

  • hip hop dies slowly

  • If u like Nas u will love stat quos new track on my videos

  • Nas is great ,my favorite rapper ;P

  • this shit is hot

  • this is the best Nas song i have ever heard
