  • Great video! Thanks for the advice.

  • The grass blade gets its air from the roots which comes from the soil. FYI.

  • Hey, you said that the airater creats holes for the roots to breath just to let you know roots dont breath the part of a grassling that breaths is the grass leaf (i.e the part we see) its the same as trees

  • @bigbillbob88 Actually, roots do need to breathe although not nearly as much as leaves. This is why trees like to grow around rocks in the soil and why roots die and rot in water. Water based plants (like mangroves) develop aerial root to combat such problems.

  • put some holes in it put some seed on it and but some soil on top that is all you have todo its over seeding and top dressing ask a greenkeeper

  • Thanks Bill. Great info.

  • When should you a person aerate?

  • @lawnmowerguy11 - you can aerate any time as long as there is no frost forecast.

  • @thebertie

Our lawn mower has aerated and overseed our lawn about 3 weeks ago, in late October: it is now Novermber and weather is going to be sunny and around 60F and low of 35F; is is OK for me to overseed again? I had bought some good seeds while back and would like to use them. please advise

  • @tritonvee10 It's gotta be the orange shirt...lol

  • @tritonvee10 The gentleman gave some good information. After reading your comment, I can see what you mean. LOL. I think it's the bright orange shirt that gave it away.
