  • I sighted similar as a kid in Beccles,so yeh i believe this.

  • I saw loads over my house . i live in blofield, near Acle. I saw one close up , there are like square holograms with a huge light over the top . has disturbed me ever since. they are not planes..

  • I found this vid as I searched to see if anyone had posted anything on the web about a sighting 2 days back - Christmas Day 2010. We saw them from our car: 3 red lights moving together in the southern sky from Little Chalfont, Bucks, UK. I had no camera. We have planes and choppers flying around all day and night so I'm very familiar with their patterns of light from every angle. These were different. No flashing, no sound and though obviously some distance away, appeared to move erratically.

  • What road was this filmed on?

  • Similar story here; parents called tonight reporting 4 bright orange silently moving lights over lowestoft (seen from gorleston road). Did anyone see something similar? I'm inclined to think it was lanterns (near guy falkes night) but open to any other witnesses!

  • Saw bright orange slow moving lights over Lowestoft tonight (21 Sept 2009 approx 9pm) - anyone see anything?

  • ive seen the exact same things in great yarmouth a few times, the first time there must of been at least 6 and they do jus fade away the last time i see them was 2 week ago and i know they arent choppers its very wierd

  • but a couple of months back me and my dad saw these two white like stars moving in the sky but did as u said and just faded away after 10 seconds and a couple more came and went was couldnt put my finger on it neither could my dad ...was strange ..usually dont belive in that rubbish but even that was wierd to me

  • if it was on the horizon as u say...or "just above" it actually just looks like boat lights to me

  • The sea was in a different direction, and these were up in the sky, where did I say horizon? Must be mis-understaning

  • approx 11.17pm lastnight over gunton was a large bright orange object moving slowly east to the sea, no sound nothing, dunno wtf it was

  • does anyone else thinks its kindof strage that there isnt 1 star in the "sky". they look like those little flashing rigs but at a distance t looks like one color

  • I am pretty sure it was overcast, hence no stars. The other night at a birthday bash I saw Chinese lanterns, and seeing those has confirmed to me that what I filmed here were not lanterns

  • Before anyone else comments, what we saw were not laterns, they were far too large. The rifle scopes were high power magnification, the colour change was too distinguished also. Not aircraft landing lights either? I must also stress from the time they dissapeared and then two reappeared I would estimate the distance to be somewhere in the region of 15 - 20 NM if they were the same lights and about 30 secs? No noise either. ATB

  • appeared but this time it was extemely high (above the upper airways routeing out to europe) the light intensified to a brilliant white, whilst remaining static then just simply dissappeared? I am an ex Military helicopter pilot, I looked for the usual anti - collision lights, Nav lights (red/green) etc but saw nothing? The met was clear, with only high cirrus cloud. It was truly strange? Not normal aircraft. Just west and north of Ipswich.

  • Was out shooting last Oct 08 when we stopped the truck to scan around, We (all three of us) noticed 3 red/orange lights low on the horizon, glimmering and slowly fading out and back in again. The two of us shooting used our riflle scopes to view these lights, they remained static for 4 - 5 mins before fading out completely. Then two appeared way to the south and the same thing happened before fading out. The driver of our truck turned around to move of the field (180 degrees) and another....

  • These were not lanterns, we have looked into that, see earlier posts

  • Lanterns

  • What in the Lowestoft area? And were they as 2 pairs?

  • no i was in salford manchester.yes as 2 pairs about 10 -15 miles apart going at same speed (each pair of lights seemed to mirror each other )

  • i allso seen these on christmas day there were 4 lights

  • Well I agree. The chances are of these sightings being 'lanterns' are very unlikely. I know the above video are most certainly not 'lanterns'.

  • i saw 5 new years day, about 12:05am going west over launceston, cornwall,uk, first 4 were in a group a few minutes later a single one. they were red like traffic light red. i could be easily persuaded to believe these were chineses lanterns but they were travelling to fast to be blowing in the wind, apart from that more importantly i saw a low flying one in the same area on 17th Dec 2008 around 6 pm and it was like a huge red plasma ball - i dont think we are seeing lanterns!

  • There has been loads of reports of UFO sightings over the past 2 weeks over the UK, (The official response is lanterns), But i do believe there is more to this than meets the eye.

  • it was santa on his way home after a busy night

  • i live in ipswich and i saw it and it deffintly wasnt a lanten or plane my dad loves planes and he was out side with me n was preety freeked out he sed no way was tht a plane!! at first it was like a huge fire ball but then got smaller n had flashy light it hoverd arou nd the sky for a bit n tht was on christmas day at about 6

  • 3 orange/red lights acting similar spotted over hartlepool dec 26 at about 7.70 .. my sister phoned me in a panic ! i went to see them but they had gone . shame

  • these are very similar to what i saw but it was last night and im in scotland

  • i have just signed up to you tube to reply to this. i consider myself a rational person but last night (26th december 2008) at about seven i saw these three red lights they all moved upwards and then dissapeared one at a time, i couldnt believe my eyes!i am in scotland in a very small town i was on familiar territory ( no phone masts or airports etc) i have never seen anything like this and had only let my dogs out to pee. i would love an explanation but im just glad other ppl saw them

  • I know about the lantern sightings. But the ufo's in this video are not lanterns. Believe me, I filmed it. And I have seen chinese lanterns before. with these ufos There were no flickering. Just pure solid consistant lights moving in 2 pairs from east to west. Thanks

  • Please please please so a search for sky lanterns on youtube. Is this doesn't explain it for you go and buy some , set them off and see whether you think they look anything like this vid. UFO's are out there but any lights that flicker, float with the wind then eventually burn out or go so high you can't see them are SKY LANTERNS. I got some for xmas. See how many 'sightings' like this we get after new years eve!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i saw it!!!! i live in ipswich annd i saw it while haven a ciggie i was like wtf the last few days ive been researching it alot it was closer thow i wish i had my camera it was llarge and bright

  • What time did you see it? I took a naff photo of it on my camera at 19:06.

Look at this on You Tube - Orange UFO Over Baton Rouge July 4th 2008 - that is EXACTLY what we saw.

  • hi ther i saw them two over west yorkshire ther was three blurd orange lights, moving in silence, weard,

  • i saw them too over west yorkshire ther was thee blurd orange light slowly move in.with no sound

  • hi saw them two but ther was three orange light blurd lights and silence and that was were i live in west yorkshire, freeky

  • My mum and dad saw it last night in Solihull West Midlands and they saw about 12 in a line, about the size of a car wheel and then 2 more followed and sped up to catch up with them. They went outside thinking it was helicopters but there was no noise. It was cloudy last night too so they must have been low.

  • Im glad you saw it too, I know they were also sighted up north.

  • I saw it!!! So did my husnand. I have been searching You Tube for an hour trying to find someone else that saw it. I am so pleased that you have footage. I only saw one. It was orange. I have taken a photo but it isnt brilliant. I live in the Park Hill area of Lowestoft and we saw this travelling in from the coast and moved very slowly and silently north/north west. I was totally shocked!! Wow. I hope other people have more footage of it. Well done you and thanks for putting it on here
