  • i think there is collective blame in all this... Kenya Pipeline, the residents and the government all had their part to play... however it is time to pick up the pieces, make better strategies and move on to making the injured better and making sure this never happens again

i am glad that the PM shed tears. if he just stood their unmoved i'd be worried for the state of this country

  • This is just ridiculous..........when someone says 'haiwezi chomeka' they didn't think that 3 years later a greedy bastard would make it burn???hope they are alive today to eat their words, 112 pple dead and they were warned??????? The government seriously needs to do something!!!!

  • Been blaming KPC since I heard of the blast but now...am left speechless. From June 22, 2008 and now September 12, 2011....and Rita Tinina was on point! How sad that we just never learn

  • I can't believe it was predicted n no one bothered! even the crocodile tears of our prime minister! listen to the video at 0:16 seconds! Even a bomb would not have killed as many!!! AND a government official sheds tears! What a waste of a bodily fluid! go to hell!!!

  • Government it fully responsible they are supposed to run the country not the other way round!!!!

  • @Nekesah Really, God gave us brains and if we fail to use them or use them wrongly, we shall perish.

  • @mukora100 We have brains right...but does it mean we use them to manipulate others? That is exactly what Sonko and his team are doing...sucking the leech to fatten the heifer!

  • The Mp of that area with the help of the government should have sort to relocate the dwellers. They could not have moved on their own. It's sad that the same government that has watched these people die is the same one now pointing fingers and trying to gain political mileage. #TokaSana

  • cant entirely blame the gava these pple refused to move willingly....

  • prophet of doom

  • The discussion always starts after a disaster, but believe me in 1 or 2 weeks no one will talk again about! And don't tell "it's not true" - too often I saw this in the past ! Of course - it's a matter of the government and it's also a matter of you to "force" the government to do something!

  • Sasa no one can blame the goverment, we need to find a lasting solution to all slums in kenya, food, shelter, clothing should be easily available none of us wants to live begging...kenyans are hard working people, KENYANS WE SHOULD WORK TO ESTABLISH A FULLY FUNTIONING GOVERNMENT, enough with excuses.....lets GROW-UP.

  • what a government...always doing nothing.Pole to the families

  • Well. This turned out to be prophetic. Or at least an obvious prediction. More than 100 people burned to death today.

  • Lame gova!! work your ass up!!

  • :-) better still, don't set up slums where there is petrol

  • Where is leadership in the sight of all these? how many more disasters are lying in wait to explode??

  • it sad it had to take over 100 people to die before we begin to take this seriously.

  • @bkisia all it takes is education. DONT FUCKING SMOKE A CIGARETTE WHEN SURROUNDED BY PETROL.
