top3 vanelli song along with 'brother to brother' and 'son of a new york gun', which is, in my opinion the other half of jack miraculous and can't be listened separately.
@MilkyBoyX3, you don't know nothing about 70's music, who the fuck are you? Don't tell me you don't like Gino cause you don't have any idol, a guy like You full of shit.
Brother Joe on all synth/keys, Richard Baker on B-3 organ and Graham Lear on drums. Ouch! What a jam. Saw Gino in Vegas-2009, just magnificent. The "Musician's Musician with stellar vocals to boot."
Yes....great memories and times listening to Gino. I love love love this song!!! Saw Gino for this tour, Gist of the Gemini tour. and the Brother to Brother tour. Thank God the heart never forgets.
Joe Vanelli arranged this whole thing for keyboards. The solo at 1:14 is meant to sound like a trumpet. The 'trombone' guide tones on the bridge are all portamento ARP sounds.
What I love, is that they did this excercise (keyboards for real instruments) with an incredibly mature jazzy song. Joe and Gino both need to be given some credit. This is really tasty.
BTW, one of the best parts of the tune is on the last 12 bars of the fade out when Joe is soloing chromatically using 16th notes. Damn, to bad that wasn't in the main body of the solo! It sounds cool as shit over the Fmaj 9 to Eflat 11 chord progression. I love that chromatic sound and use it all the time playing guitar!
Gino's voice on top all that . . Everything is SPOT ON . . What more could you ask for ? AND WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO MUSIC AFTER THAT IF IT USED TO BE THAT GOOD ??
I agree. This tune sounds so modern even now with all these punks classifying music as "old school" all the time. I guess it's just ignorance. Bach and Miles still sound pretty cool LOL! Keep the spirit alive 007! you aren't alone!!
@pianist007 The de-evolution of art form in this country and the world in general............a morass of cultural deprivity and selfless moral decline is measured in the apathey of the once creative soul of man by the powers to be that control major media outlets of that expression.............
That's your answer in a nutshell..........I shiver for where we are going..........
Yeah, that's why I looked this one up. The arrangement is actually better than the song, but this song is still pretty funky. I can get a sense of some things I want to bring out in an arrangement
Gino's raw, visceral artistry is beyond phenomenal. This selection is punctuated by bitchin' Hammond B-3 work with a Leslie that screams and wails and leaves you begging for more.
this muthafucker sick of gino vanelli sucks alot!!his music his the most horrible 70´s thing i ever listen in my fucking life!!he is music his an insult and a ambarasing to the 70´s true music like rock, disco, funk,r&b,motown etc!!please!!!!,if anybody could do me a favor!please shoot with a gun to that dicksucker of gino vanelli!!
Ahahaha little bitch, you sound like a true gay whithout balls, this songs are for really true men, not for little criying girls like you ahaha, i would shoot you, but crap like you don't matters to me.

Greatest tune Gino and Joe Vanelli ever put out. Those chord changes on the B section kills. Everything comes together here. Nice synth solo!
