Anybody that has done ANY research knows that even with the extra weight the 14 should have destroyed the 954. The 14s run 9.7s and the 954s run 10.2s or worse. The guy on the 14 was a squid. The 954 would win on the track but it doesnt have a chance on the strip with a decent rider. ive seen guys pull 10.1 on the 14 their first time EVER to the strip. If you really think a 954 is competition for the zx in a straight line, you havent done your research.

I was looking for a video like this, because I was just neck and neck with a ZX-14 on my 954. I had a little more that I could've queezed out, but my front tire is completely smoothin the middle. The rider of the 14 had his bike since October 08. I've been riding for two and one half months. The acceleration on the 954 is very underrated.
@ROOSTERM249 What about gearing? That 929 might have had some teeth off the front sprocket (or added to the back), and the 14 has stock gearing. Re-geared the 14 would probably walk it at 150mph+. I love both bikes, but hands down the 929 for me. Its the only sport bike i've riden, and Honda is the best. They might not make the most hp, but they can take a beating.

im a huge honda fan, but lets not get cocky here guys..zx14 is a faster bike then a 929.. still this doesnt change the fact that every fireblade no matter its a 900 929 954 or 1000 should be taken seriously!!! to any hyper bike ...this a perfect example of a good rider on the 929 !

Wieght has a lot to do with the 929 beating him from a dig. 929's are lighter then most the new bikes out there.
Definitley agree with the zx14 rider as being a newbie to the bike or sportbikes all together.

This reminds me of when i got my bike last year , a kid who had a 929 wanted to race and i had not even completed 500 miles on my zx14 and he bitch and cryed that he wanted to race so i told him i would beat him hands down and i didnt have to fuk my engine up to prove a point so we ended up racing which i let him win and i didnt get my bike over 70 miles or 4000 rpm that night, anyways i didnt get hurt i didnt cry or say one word anyways about 5 months later he started this rumor...continued

so the kid and i race down the same stretch of road and i beat him so the kid says his bike went into neutral and it didnt shift in 2nd so i am a nice guy i told him one more race no bullshit and i end up beating him again after i try to stop him he flees home and i followed the little bastard of course to collect my new 929 so long story .... his family and grand ma end up bitching me out and the kids crying, eh honda and yamaha riders are pussies acting all bad in there honda ,r1 & r6 bikes

careful about bunching all honda riders togather. I ride a 2000 929rr and have no dillusions of its abilities. it is a great combo of speed and handling. but i know its not the best, so watch what u say. the zx14 is in a whole nother class. u had one bad experience and that sucks, he was a punk ass kid. but ur calling me a pussy whit ur statement and thats messed up. just chill out on that talk man

well i like honda and a zx14 vs a 929 is like a 600 vs a ninja 650 thats not even fair and plus as fars just riding honda makes the best bike and this year honda has the quickest liter bike in the 90s-03 honda contuined to have the quickest 1000 900 929 and 954 where the fastest of there time and the black bird was to before the busa so honda has hold the throne done for some time now and there 600 or yammys r6 also wins road racing so they can kinda talk a lil shit

the 929 is modded where it has faster acceleration then the zx and it also has a little to do with the driver but u gotta think the zx is stock beside the exhaust

I was looking for a video like this, because I was just neck and neck with a ZX-14 on my 954. I had a little more that I could've queezed out, but my front tire is completely smoothin the middle. The rider of the 14 had his bike since October 08. I've been riding for two and one half months. The acceleration on the 954 is very underrated.

well if you would read its a 929 with a 954 motor...... and its slightly modded and tuned.....
also they raced multiple times but the "929/954" won 2/3 up to 160 ish.....

@ROOSTERM249 What about gearing? That 929 might have had some teeth off the front sprocket (or added to the back), and the 14 has stock gearing. Re-geared the 14 would probably walk it at 150mph+. I love both bikes, but hands down the 929 for me. Its the only sport bike i've riden, and Honda is the best. They might not make the most hp, but they can take a beating.
