  • you got that right scott is a good actor

  • good review

  • saw 5 is good its not one of the interesting ones but good. it dosent make me want to watch it over and over i just skip to traps and jigsaw.

  • I personally think Saw 4 is the lowest point of the series. I liked this movie alot I thought Hoffman was awesome in this film!! I thought the ending was great as well and im not a big blood and guts guy either thats one reason Im not so high on 4 because I found that movie kind of disgusting. Saw 2 is still my fav, but 5 is up there with 3 ..look at my favorite videos the 7 minute long one theres something in there about Jill...definitely wrote the note!

  • i thought it was a very good film, definitly better than 2 and 4!

  • I just purchased it on Blu-Ray, and I did enjoy it much more a second viewing with lower expectations. Needless to say, I still think it's the 'worst' in the series. I liked the previous four films much better.

I respect your opinion, thanks for checking out the review!

  • about the whole twist thing.....i liked the fact that this one didn't really have a twist because i've been relying on it for all of these. i can't let this roughly 2:00 moment in the movie ruin the entire thing for me. it taught me that it didn't need a good twist to be incredible.

  • Well the build up to the twist was actually very good. It was suspenseful, but it didn't deliver in the ending. I purchased the film on Blu-Ray, and I did enjoy it more the second time, but I still think the twists are a popular aspect of the Saw movies and they need to deliver. Especially if you advertise with the phrase: You Won't Believe How It Ends. Saw V is a good film, it has many flaws, but its still fun and a worthy installment.

  • They're relevant, but really they weren't a strong element of the plot. They were just put in to make traps and to connect Strahm to the killings. I felt the other victims in the previous Saw films had more of a connection with the overall plot.

  • The five people are relevant. In the movie, you noticed their case files had "FBI" on them. These people were investigated by the FBI and since Strahm was being set up as the jigsaw accomplice, it connects him. I'm sure there's more to it then that, but I think that's part of it perhaps.

  • I watched all 5 films and i realized throughout all of them we never knew wat happened to doctor gordon. we know amanda killed the guy that was left in the room in saw1. as for daniel..hmmm...he cud play sum part. those two guys seem to be MIA.

  • The person who plays Dr. Gordon has beef with the producers, so most likeley he wont be back. As for Daniel who knows, but I don't think he would return since his father died from Jigsaw's game.

  • hey man if your saying that gr.gordon isn't coming back then the producers/writers are going to have to come up with something...

  • It bugged me how they didn't put in the traditional "Game Over" that's what I look forward to in the Saw movies, that and the twist. They need to bring back the original Creators for Saw VI. It should be directed by Leigh Whannell or James Wan. I don't like how they're having a contest to see whos going to be the lead in Saw VI they should get a good actor not some nobody who could mess it up. Saw VI has to be good its last one.

  • Yeah I was bummed they didn't have the "Game Over" in Saw V too. I was saying the same thing for Saw VI, they need Whannell or Wan, or even Bousman back on board.

  • Saw 5 - Hoffman's Accomplice

  • When jigsaw told hoffman to test the 5 strangers, he specifically said, it may not be clear to you why Im testing these people.. but i assure you that in the end it will all come together and fit like a puzzle...

i'm pretty sure that the "irrelevant" plot was put there because it may tie into saw 6, after all, jigsaw DID say that in the end it will all fit like a puzzle, and since it didn't, its not the end, and events regarding the 2 plots will continue in saw 6

    Just my theory...

  • True, but as I said I'm just reviewing it as a stand alone. I might feel different after Saw VI is out. I still liked Saw IV even when there was lots to be answered. I don't hate Saw V, it's just okay. It's worth going Matinee.

Also, the concept of Jigsaw's perspective is fading away. Look at what happened to Strahm. He was put into a trap and survived, so why did he have to be tested AGAIN? What did he do with his life that was so wrong? They may answer that later, but I doubt it.

  • hey man good review, didn't agree with ending but it was good and about the letter to hoffman i think it might be daniel and the box what jill recieved might be doctor gordons foot???

  • Hmmm...how did you come up with the idea of Daniel writing the letter and the box containing Dr. Gordon's foot? I don't follow.

  • well we haven't seen both characters in quite some time, i doubt very much that it could be jill and the saw series is famous for shocking people so that is my theory

  • True, they have given us lots of shocker moments. I forgot all about Daniel, I wonder how he reacted hen his father died.

  • Hey man, great review. Its good to see there are other people who share the same thoughts about the film.

  • Glad we see the film the same way.

  • Good review. I agree with you 100%

  • Thanks for listening! Glad you agree with my opinion.
